We can assume that Trump would tell Ryan any lie that would get him to endorse him. And now that there has been a domestic terrorist attack, all bets are off on that pledge even if it was just a ploy.

If you look at the new coverage of how Trump deals with his vendors they do find people who report getting paid fairly by Trump.

But think about this.

If Trump stiffs 3/4 of his vendors, meaning that the vast majority get cheated by him, then that will still leave thousands of vendors who can be held up to testify to Trump’s fairness. Cherry picking people with good experiences is the strategy Trump is going to use to defend himself from now to Eternity (by which I mean, next November - it will seem like eternity).
