So anyone with a brain, believe a word that comes out of Lyin Ryan?
I have to agree, and see the entire repub field as having no one with the chops to get elected.
I think youāre underestimating the shallowness of the American people. Putting everything else aside for the moment, Ted Cruz is extremely unattractive, balding, overweight, and his voice is worse than fingernails down a chalkboard. Plus, heās smug. Heās got that face that says, āTrust me, Iām going to sell you a Ferrari with an engine I got out of a '91 Malibu. But first, I plan to Roofie your daughter.ā Thereās nothing cool or nerdy cool or āseems like the kind of guy Iād like to have a beer withā. Nope, Ted Cruz comes across like your old boss who always took credit for your work, berated you in front of your peers, left his wife because she gained weight while she was pregnant, sued his ex wife for spousal support after he left her for a stripper, and spends his days and nights thinking of new ways to fleece the elderly out of their homes and savings. Plus, he is so deeply despised by the establishment wing of his own party that I think thereād be a deluge of Republicans endorsing HRC. I tend to think Cruz as the nominee would quite likely spark a third party run by a moderate Republican.
ā¦and if 57,324,956,189 people in this world die, I have a good shot of being next in line for the throne to be crowned the Queen of England. Well, that and a sex change.
This from a man whose own neighborhood overwhelming voted for Obama/Biden in 2012.
I know we are all tempted to āconsider the sourceā and ignore this economic charlatan, but you do so at your peril.
Scott Walker is the perfect Tea-Party Republican Candidate.
He is dismissed by the āLiberal Eliteā as a fool (although he kicks every Democratās ass that is sent up against him.)
He is not trusted by the āCorporate Wingā of the Republican Party (but LOVED by the .01% in Wisconsin.)
He is adored by the out-state rednecks in Wisconsin as a culture-warrior fighting both of the above FOR THEM (they think.)
He is backed by the MASSIVE Money-Machine of the Koch Bros. and their labyrinthine network of PACS and Dark Money, which automatically makes him ārespectedā by the simpering sycophants in the MSM.
He is a very shrewd politician who knows what buttons to push and ādog-whistlesā to blow to get people to support him, and he has NO MORALS of any kind (a perfect sociopath.) For him, āThe End justifies the Means.ā
He is attractive to the Reich-Wing Echo Chamber because he will HATE anyone you wish him to hate to get elected.
Donāt count this man out of ANY political calculation.
He is the most dangerous of all the Republican Candidates.
If Faux and Kochs be for him, who be against him?
BUSh DIDnāt AND he wAS the BEST PResident America has HAd since RonaldUS MagnuS!!!1!!!one!!1!!!
He might have a good chance in the primaries but Jebās got a better chance in the general election.
Actually, I think Walker has about as much chance of becoming president as a three legged rat trapped in a kennel with a dozen Jack Russell Terriers
Iād agree with Ryan (and Josh) that Walker has a good chance in the primary. In fact, my gut says heās the favorite, if not by a mile. Much as the GOP base tends to come down to earth and vote on electability at the end of the day, theyāre pretty far gone by now. He would be toast in the general. Hell, Harry Reid would probably beat him like a rented mule.
Why do we think Ryan isnāt running, though? Does anybody really believe this stuff about he just wants to be a bigshot in the House and get all wonky with the policy? Or does he have some skeletons he doesnāt want to expose to national campaign scrutiny?
And walleyed and mule-kicked!
I want some of whatever Ryan is smoking.
ā¦blurts the ādudeā who made the greatest Mitt-stake in his political caREAR.
Iāve been saying Jeb since 2012 and Iām sticking by my prediction.
And the having the choice between another Bush and Clinton makes me want to puke.
Piyush-- may his name go into the the UrbanDickā¦ I, mean DICtionary in the same category as Santorum.
Uh, you mean Vice President Ryan?
I agree with you. Butā¦remember how the debates went last time? Candidates rising and falling (and failing) on their performances? Can you see Scott Walker going toe to toe with Ted Cruz and coming out on top? Even with all of those shortcomings you listed? Even if they donāt like Ted Cruzās manner, theyāre certainly not going to be satisfied with Walker afterward.
Also, I think you may be underestimating the conservative primary voter. Iām not saying Ted Cruz stands much of a chance in a general election, but I think he stands a very good chance of becoming the Repug nominee, if for no other reason than the pickings are just so fucking slim.
All of those things you pointed out DEFINE the conservative primary voter. They wonāt be able to help seeing themselves in him. The smug, the smarm, that boss you mentionedā¦You just described the Republican primary voter.
Americans may be shallow, but the Republicans are just plain MEAN, and Ted Cruz is the embodiment of mean.
Well, that and the whole āasshole bossā thing is what they want - thatās exactly what Romney was. And they chose him.
Walker is an asshole - heās stupid to boot. If he were ever elected heās make GW Bush look like a genius.
