To be clear, he did endorse him: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/03/us/politics/paul-ryan-donald-trump.html?_r=0

He’s all yours Republican establishment! Trump is what your party stands for now.

The way the Republican campaign is going, I think a more appropriate word would be “Kafkardashian”.

I could accept that! rotfl :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Well, saying you’re gonna vote for the guy and actually voting for him are two different things.

However, Rayn is toeing the party line because he’s been pressured into it, but trying to stay as distant as he can. Not an easy balancing act.

It is really going to be fun watching the GOP mambo through to November,…

Paulie, this is what you endorsed:

Hey, Paulie Baby! If you are going to endorse Trump, you should use that famous advice from the great Lauren Bacall in the film “To Have and Have Not”: “Just put your lips together and blow.”

If he’s their only hope, I don’t even think Obi-Wan Kenobi could help these pitiful motherfuckers.

The Republican problem – and Ryan knows this very well – is that this attack is not at all “totally out of left field.” This is exactly how Trump acts and has acted not just the past year of this campaign, but of the past 30 plus years.

Republicans are going to have to endure 5 months of one embarrassment after another. It is going to be very interesting to watch GOP public figures react and to what extent individuals abandon Trump as this plays out.

Of course they made this s*it salad, and now they will have to live with it.

Too late, sir. You only get to sell your integrity once. And you accepted a low cash offer for yours. No returns.

Live with it?

They’re going to have to eat it.

The new normal! I like it! This is how we endorse Trump! I “disagree” with him! How far can you distance yourself from your candidate? We’re going to find out!

Absolutely dwward! One of the few things Trump has been consistent about this campaign is his disdain for “Mexicans” (which apparently includes Indiana-born people of Mexican descent)

Add to that his pathological need to lash out at anyone his paranoid delusions tell him is “out to get him” and none of his rants against this judge is out of left field.

I wanted a more gentle analogy.

Ryan later confirmed that his statement was an endorsement. Trump then thanked Ryan for his support and endorsement.

Ryan said at the end of the day, Republicans need a “willing partner” in the White House to help advance their policies.

And that is part of your fucking policies… stop faking innocence.

What he meant was “willing puppet”

Speaker Ryan - “Republicans need a “willing partner” in the White House to help advance their policies.”

Is Speaker Ryan so delusional that he thinks that is what he would get?

If so then he believes that the tails wag the dogs, that Republican "leaders’ lead, and that he will have a budget package and a replacement package for the ACA “soon,” etc.
