Discussion: Papadopoulos Furiously Spins Tale Of Deep State Victimhood

“As someone who has witnessed corruption first hand, I implore all Americans, for the sake of our country, to vote republican in the midterms,” he tweeted last night.

At this rate the gold-digger might decide that Papadopoulos is a total loser and dump him.

Trump will not be able to resist publicly buying into this BS and tweeting “There should be an investigation!!”

He’ll swallow this hook, line and sinker.

Foreign policy advisor and coffee boy. That pretty much explains the entire administration.

Only the best, most stable people.

This is also what happens when you stiff your contractors. He was expecting a payoff that would compensate him for taking a fall, and instead bupkes.

Are you suggesting he’s not already?

Not a good trick.

He is a Republican operative who has worked with this White House, so yes, he has witnessed corruption first hand.

" I think it’s time Downer is as exposed as Christoper Steele"

I see where he is going with this and the intended audience.

Ha! True. He’s that already.

Mueller needs to tell Papadopoulos that he has violated the plea deal and throw is ass in jail. Trump really picks the losers.

I really wish he would.

“When the judge sees a person who has pleaded go out on Twitter or television and make statements recanting his guilty plea and recanting what he or she said in court and now saying something else, the judge can get pretty upset,” Moreno said.

Yes, this will go over swimmingly with the judge, I’m sure. Is this idiot even aware that a plea bargain is only used at the court’s discretion? Way to spin a 14-day sentence into a longer stretch, slick.

“I have been sentenced to prison in our country while having exculpatory evidence hidden from me,” he wrote in a late Oct. 29 tweet. “If I knew what I knew today, I would never have plead [sic] guilty.”

It’s best just to leave his own words hanging out there.

Sounds like someone got a promise for a pardon, and he actually thinks it might happen.

“George Papadopoulos’s ability to talk his way into and out of any situation is enough to make even Donald Trump blush.”
the rare bad open for a tpm column - as if anything could make 45* blush. You have to know shame or have a conscience.

Papadopoulos was pitching his book across the publishing industry, and had hired ritzy entertainment industry agency David Vigliano to rep him in the effort.

Puh-leeze. He’s got a smaller whistle to blow than Stormy Daniels. Good luck spinning that into more than a redstate blog post.

Unless Regnery Press opens their checkbook, publishes the book, then buys and pulps all the copies to make it hit the NYT bestseller list.

His wife, Italian model Simona Mangiante

She modeled. She also went to law school, became an attorney, and worked for the EU.

Then again, she’s female, so let’s go with “model.”
