Discussion: OSU Wrestler: Jim Jordan ‘Snickered’ When I Told Him About Doc Abuse

The most liberal of the group are from Reagan Democrat families, this is not political.

He said he voted for Jordan, Vlad.

The objection seems quite pragmatic to me: It’s something to use against him.

The use of 20 year old accusations about stuff which is not confirmed and is served up by anonymous accusation is the core tenet of McCathyism. I guess for the left it’s “we are McCarthyite when it pays off”

I think anonymous accusations are always lies. Because the motivations, rationales, and reasons of the accuser cannot be evaluated.

Because I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere in the coverage:
Has any report looked into the effect that the recent congressional hearings on sexual assault had – specifically the testimony of Terry Crews? His testimony was brief but quite riveting, and what he described was quite similar to what these wrestlers say they experienced.
As Crews says in his testimony (to paraphrase), he’s a big strong, powerful man and it was embarrassing to realize what had happened to him. But perhaps his coming forward with his testimony gave these men the courage to come forward.

In your humble and uninformed outsider opinion on the comment section. Gee, I’m sure you’re right.

About something.

Probably illegally. He accepted Soros money and rode the Soros bus. I’m accusing him of it now!

LOL, it has been called Clintonville for almost a century.

On February 4, 1939, six Clintonville women met at the house of Mrs. Frank Hiatt to discuss the need for a cultural, charitable and civic group in the Clintonville community and the value of a club house as a center for those activities. From this meeting, the Clintonville Woman’s Club was founded on February 25, 1939. The founders crafted a statement of community which ends with the statement “Clintonville is our community and it is entitled to our support.” The first Interest Group was the Civic Improvement Group whose goal was to clean up and beautify Clintonville.

I was born in 1955, the area has always been called Clintonville.

Yes, I’m well aware of that. My “before” reference was about Slick Willy. He put a new patina on Clintonville.

Strauss died of suicide in 2005 and and OSU is currently probing the allegations of sexual abuse by former athletes.

I take this as a good indication that the athletes are not lying about the abuse at least.

I think his name is Matt, and he lives in PA. Your move.

I don’t believe that is in question. There seems good evidence that this physician was doing inappropriate things.

The issue is did Jordan know, and when did he know? Like Joe Paterno at Penn State. There is evidence (I believe written) that he was informed.

Is there written or documented evidence about Jordan? Or is it all hearsay and anonymous crap?

I am really kind of shocked at the willingness of the liberal mindset to believe anonymous crap. It’s a moral failing. Anonymous accusations are lies.

Was there ‘written’ evidence against Coach Paterno?

I can’t remember.

And there is no written evidence against Dr Strauss, all his personnel write ups are complimentary,

(They were released by OSU)

You forgot an important clause in that there VI Amendment, Nicky:

in all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right…to be confronted with the witnesses against him.

If this is a criminal prosecution, I’m not aware of it. Do you know something I don’t?

There have already been multiple reports from non-athletes that it was common knowledge that this Dr would take hours-long showers while the Wrestlers took theirs.
There are always going to be a mix of public, compromised and anonymous witnesses to ongoing crimes like this. Look at Trump’s parade of female victims. Look at Penn state.

I don’t know what you mean by confirmed, but eight separate witnesses with little motivation to publicly re-open this chapter in their lives telling consistent stories that seem to, you know, confirm each other, is some kind of confirmation.

There is apparently an email in 1998. Is that enough?

In the Sandusky-Paterno case, there are no anonymous accusations. There are public statements.

This Russian troll’s bio just gets better and better, doesn’t it? Pretty soon he’ll be telling us he knew David Lloyd George. Didn’t like him, but knew him. And that he was on one of the Apollo missions. And parachuted into Albania when he worked for the CIA.

ETA: This is classic troll behavior. Troll makes an assertion about the law. He’s challenged. Suddenly, he’s got a JD. Troll makes assertion about Turkmenistan. He’s challenged. Suddenly, he used to live there. Troll makes assertion about Martin Luther King. He’s challenged. Suddenly, he used to be his next-door neighbor. It’s endless.

So, I guess if someone made a statement about you anonymously, you’d be happy about that, right?

Anonymous accusations are lies. The accusation against Keillor was a lie. The accusation against Franken were partially lies. Some were made by persons in public, some anonymously.

Any anonymous accusation needs to be considered as a lie. Character assassination by anonymous accusation can happen to anyone.

When it went to court, this is just the beginning.

You are like those who scream for Mueller to hurry up when there were two and half years spent on investigating Benghazi.
