Actually that is a Ruger 22 pistol, not a colt 1911. It does look like a silencer, but I am sure the BATF was notified if any of them were modified. (I used to own both a Ruger 22 and a 1911, so I am really well versed in both).

A full length photo of that tree to his left would have been far more interesting. That’s one healthy trunk with roots that probably go under that structure.
