Jesus saves,
Gretzky scores on the rebound

Edit: Ah, I see you beat me to it.
Still, what is going on here? Is OK having a sudden rush towards sanity? Are the Christianists too wacky even for Oklahoma? Would Oklahoma be deterred from teaching Christianist fundamentalism in its schools by something as trivial as the US Constitution? Inquiring minds want to know.
Chri$t-like morality $old $eparately…
Like I speculated above, I think the churchies realize that anything they do, those pesky Satanists/Pastafarians/whatevers will be there to demand their blasted equal constitutional rights like the traitorous godless LIBRULZ they are.
In the Hobby Lobby version Jesus expands Temple grounds to accommodate more moneychangers and forbids non Sadducee & Pharisee monitored sex.
I should hope so since it is still illegal, regardless of the author, to be “teaching” Christianity in public schools unless it’s part of a comparative religion course.
The Bible is a dangerous anthology even when handled by gifted theologians. We aren’t talking about a Bible course, we are talking about an Evangelical course. What’s the difference? Ask a Jewish theologian to interpret the Abraham and Isaac story… then ask an Evangelical. The difference is revealing, and will astonish you - and it should make you wonder why anyone would trust HobbyLobby to interpret anything in the Bible.
My soon to be exwife is a staff attorney at the ACLU’s program on religion and belief and believe me, from what I’ve seen and heard, the fact that it seemed sketchy wouldn’t have stopped them had they had legal cover.
David Green is, I have no doubt, crushed that his religious freedom has been severely damaged because he wasn’t able to force his religious views on Oklahoma school children.
FOX will undoubtedly have him on to explain further how he is the victim of this and his religious liberties were trampled on.
And Mr. Green paid for that mike.
The biggest threat to the American people is the Christian evangelicals. When the backlash comes I just might decide to step aside and let them all be carted off to the camps.
“Following outcry from activists.” Normal, sane people are now ‘activists’?
Now, Mustang Public Schools, you stop oppressing the nice Christo-fascist right this minute, or you’re going to get a time-out.
Which just means Hobby Lobby can sue the school now. SCOTUS was very clear that the religious views of Hobby Lobby trump any and all laws and the Constitution of the United States of America. Denying Hobby Lobby’s curriculum is governmental interference in its religious activities.
I thank my God for their decision not to indoctrinate those children with their own, personal religious ideology. If they had forced their religion onto those children, i would have been forced to become a pilgrim and leave this country in search of another land where i could enjoy my own freedom of religion
I also thank those brave pilgrims who landed on Plymouth Rock and established this nation several centuries ago, where i am now free to believe whatever religion i so choose, with no interference or persecution from the government.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Let us all give thanks that we live in a nation with freedom of, and from state-sanctioned, religion.
Maybe I missed a meeting, but since when did we grant private companies (or any company for that matter) the authority to set curriculum in our public schools?
Hobby Lobby …the cheap Koch Brothers of OK
They’ll pair him with Bill Donohue who will screech and bellow about how this is an attack on 'Murica.
Well, if he DOES sue, it would at least help shine a brighter light on what he and his ilk are trying to do across the country.
Someone squashed HL’s Freedom Of Forced Religion onto others. How can this be? Isn’t that unconstitutional?
