Finally, someone coming to the aid of those poor defenseless police officers. What the hell is the point of being a cop if the job doesn’t come with impunity and insulation from criticism and scrutiny?
It did. That’s how you know there was nothing racist about this.
"Williams said the Norwood Police Department has “always performed its duties in an exemplary fashion and held its high standard of conduct without any outside influence.”
Replays showed that it was a clean hit.
Nope. Police departments are “under attack” because they continue to allow and condone a small number of their members who are openly racist to smear all officers. They allow their members to openly target and even kill minority populations, hiding behind the “I was afraid for my life” defense, even to the point claiming people who were surrendering and unarmed somehow threatened them. They continue to justify shootings, even to the point of openly lying about the events, even when video evidence completely destroys their statements.
Mayor Thomas Williams acts appropriately when he says he will support his department, but he’s way out of line when he suggests the problems are caused entirely by “race-baiting black leaders.” Michael Brown didn’t do a single thing to bring “black leaders” to Ferguson…well, assuming we don’t count getting gunned down by Darron Wilson. The man who was directed to provide his ID and attempted to comply by reaching into his van to get his wallet didn’t ask any “black leaders” to come to town…but he got shot simply for following the officer’s orders. The list goes on, and perhaps Mayor Thomas Williams would do well to understand that the outrage didn’t start for no reason.
Under attack for killing unarmed black men? Who would have guessed.
I honestly don’t understand the term race-baiting. Do they mean racism-baiting? WTF does race-baiting mean?
