Discussion: Official: Orlando Shooter Legally Purchased Guns This Week

Since the Convention will be a gun-free zone, I expect we’ll see the NRA protesting outside it that Trump has made it less safe, right?

Hey, terrorists have Second Amendment rights too. Just ask the NRA if it isn’t so…

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand the inevitable: The rat-fu*king Fundie media whores, AKA: The Westboro Baptist Church members, announced they would picket Pulse nightclub in the wake of attacks, and then in the spirit of Jesus and their loving Gawwd’, tweeted that “GOD SENT THE SHOOTER.”

I wish them a wonderful Orlando welcome. I’m sure they’re looking forward to it.

The story is that this murderer was interviewed by the FBI two times because he was red flagged and then was able to purchase guns? I don’t know where the line is drawn, but shouldn’t he have been prohibited from buying a gun? Of course, I don’t know what the facts are, but it sure is strange that he was red flagged a few times already. Innocent people get put on the no fly list and then have to straighten it out. Why not put these people on a no buy list until it is checked out once again?

Are you kidding me?

How in the freaking world can that happen.

Oh, stupid bought and paid for nra prostitutes in our congress and senate, that’s how.

I’d laugh out loud at the thought, if it wasn’t so sad.

Thank your local NRA chapter. Really. They lobbied successfully to make it legal to buy weapons even if you’re on a terrorist watch list or no-fly list. Obama was talking about this just last week.

If everyone in Pulse had a gun to defend himself, everyone would have been shot. This is horrific. Always a silver lining for T-Rump.

Whether or not this guy was on the no-fly list or the terror watch list, he would still have been able to buy his guns because the NRA and their tools in Congress think every life situation is improved by adding more and powerful guns. It’s what they’re paid to think.

OK, you want it in a nutshell, here’s the President explaining to some yutz who thinks they’re coming for his guns that he, the President, can’t even stop people on the goddamn no-fly list from buying guns:

Thank you meri, I understand again. For a moment there I thought I was losing my mind.

While there is absolutely nothing humorous about this horrid tragedy, the Liberal Redneck has a few words of insight into the NRA’s rancid mindset, and it’s worth a watch…and a fleeting smile…

Shakespeare said in King Lear: “Jesters do oft prove prophets.” Yup!

… OH HELL to the NO he did!?!

…so, when do we move from “why aren’t we doing anything?” to “Tar & feather the s.o.b.'s that are keeping us from doing the right thing!”…???..

… the hell with that! At this point he should go ahead with an executive order reinstating the ban on assault weapons, and let the yutz’ choke on their bilious outrage…!!!..

…imo…

And the GOP BLOCKED legislation in December that would have STOPPED the shooter from being able to purchase those guns

Would not have mattered if he was on the Terrorists Watch List…

If he had been prevented from buying those guns, the NRA would have been demonstrating in his favor.

Well, sure - but think of how many more weapons and how much more ammo would have been sold if everyone was armed? And that’s what it all boils down to, isn’t it? Profits, profits, profits for weapons manufacturers and dealers.

Imagine trying to expose the dangers of smoking cigarettes in this era for the “money trumps all!” GOP. Never would have happened.
