Thank you for your honesty and for drawing a clear bright line defining the position of the Democratic party and many of its voters.
I think its crucial for citizens to fully understand the platform and values of the party they’re voting for.
Therefore, progressives and liberals who desire further U.S. hegemony and placement above the rule of law should vote for Democrats.
Progressives and liberals who believe that such an agenda will bring more war, deepen the economic recession and further erode civil liberties should seek out third party candidates.
Those who seek out and vote for third party candidates will only strengthen one or the other of the parties because we have not yet created an environment for third party candidates to become viable. They are outliers who only do damage to the prevailing parties. It will likely be observable in the mid-term elections. Furthermore, my view of the United States was shaped by two sets of immigrant grandparents who came from Europe at the turn of the 20th century. They were grateful for what they found here, and they passed along that gratitude to me irrespective of politics, though in fact they became Democrats.

The Prez is a cool cat. His critics could care less about his responses and only seek the slimy spin. The naysayers live to be contrarian, how completely boorish. The second guessers, like Cygnus up above always pull the same crap, try to cast doubt and discourage while offering zero, complete empty vessels, they are.
Obama isn’t perfect and the perfect President is a figment of imagination. Barack is cool though in the way he handles people that have clearly dirty motivations and due to the fact that he handles the most difficult job in the world with such aplomb. He doesn’t please everyone all the time but he’s sincere and without bad intentions and that goes a long ways.
