Several countries have already stated that should the US back out of the Paris agreement large tariffs can legally be levied on our products, because our manufacturers and agricultural producers would have the unfair advantage of not having the costs of mitigating climate damage.
The ONLY country we’d be left having free trade with would be…? Russia?

When I see articles like this, when Obama is speaking to Trump through the media, it seems obvious to me that he’s not talking to Trump. Obama is talking to the public and preparing them for what’s probably going to happen.
