What I´m hoping he does is announce that we´re going to give Gitmo back to the Cubans, whose land it is, and that in exchange, the Cubans handle repatriating the remaining prisoners. I wish we had a functioning gov that could give - or could have given, rather - these men a fair trial, but it´s way too late for that.

And at 10:35 AM heads on right will start to explode and brainless talking heads will claim how Obama is making us less safe . . . again. And somehow they will get a reference to Chamberlain into their talking points.

Trump will announce during a rally that not only would Guantanamo stay open if he was President, it would be stuffed so full of terrorists they’d be drowning in the ocean for lack of anywhere to be housed. And they’d be waterboarded daily. And they wouldn’t be permitted possession of the Koran. We’d be punching them. Taking them out on stretchers. Maybe lure their families to visit and them kill them in the visitor lobby. Add in your own inhumanities to suit.

Not really. Miss Vickie says she has visions when we’re together. I’m not so sure about her claims, but I figure what the hell, I’ll humor her. The laundry chores are starting to become unmanageable, I may have to hire a maid. Or buy a tarp.

A Presidency is a Terrible Thing to Waste
If ever the “disappointment” with Obama’s Presidency could be summarized and exemplified in a single act, this is it.
Seven years of dithering and fecklessness to do something that could have been done in the first month.
Supporters quickly realized following Obama’s first months in office that he had no intention of supporting those who voted for him and no intention of working for traditional Democratic policies and values.
Obama lost his majority in both Houses of Congress because he lost his supporters.
Obama won against Romney simply because people voted against Romney not for Obama.
Obama then lost majorities in both the House and the Senate.

Not so fast. Most of what he just proposed is essentially what was proposed seven years ago. Most of this still needs Congress to actually do something. The Democrats already bailing on Obama are not helping.
