Why is the United States one of four countries (the others are Lesotho, Swaziland, and Papua, New Guinea) that does not offer any paid maternity leave to new Moms. That makes us just about the most anti-family country in the world. It’s past time to institute paid parental leave for new parents. Why don’t we lead on pro-family issues rather than lag behind?
