Discussion for article #227469
I wonder if there will be a televised Republican “response” after the President’s presentation tomorrow evening?
It sure would be nice to show the world that the US is united. Really we just need the same that GW WMD Bush got. Without the lying and ulterior motives of course.
Personally, I can’t make up my mind on this. Are we being sucked in? Is this the Saudis agenda? I despise war so how could I be for it? Did the Cheney doctrine get to me and I feel like we have to get them before they get us? Is it none of our freakin’ business except in a humanitarian sense?
I’m with Barack and that is why we have a leader with all of the pertinent info to trust to make the right decisions.
I also wanted to say that the cowardice of John Boener and his caucus of Obama blamers is the perfect evidence to show what the current Repubs are made out of.
Towers of Jello, the lot of them.
If bush had half the brains Obama has you wouldn’t feel this way. Bush and cheney screwed everyone and they knew that other administrations would suffer because of their actions put they didn’t care.
They even screwed there own party to the point that even they can’t ask bush or cheney to stump for them when they campaign.
Can’t blame you for feeling this way but i for one trust mr obama. I truly believe that he will not jump into war for the sake of making companies like haliburton money. I belive that he has Americas best interest in mind when he makes this kind of decision.
If they do, some one needs to call them out on their patriotism because that would be unamerican. I hated bush from the begining because I’m from Texas and I knew what sack of shit he was. But when we got attacked that day on 9/11 I felt that he was my president and I had his back. Then He fucked all that up when he insisted on his war in Iraq and I realized that he had no intention of going after Bin ladin.
But today republicans hate the black guy in the oval office so much that would back a communist V. Putin then our own president in a time that americans should come together. And this is one of those times when we all need to pull together like true Americans!
I’m fairly certain that you misread my post. I said, I’m with Barack.
And I have been fully on board since somewhere in his 4th year btw.
No i did not misread your post. I have no doubt that you are with Mr Obama.
All I meant is that too many people are tired of war for profit and because of bush do not trust the current administration.
there is way too much misinformation out there thanks to the likes of ruch limbaugh and fox news and people in general are weary.
I’m getting weary of the word weary. Of course the majority of us don’t want war, especially another against Arabs in their land that only makes more enemies. I don’t think that it has much to do with not trusting President Obama and the most to do with not wanting war in general and the part that nobody talks about, the huge expense.
I trust President Obama and if he’s seeing the need to make moves, then I believe that we must do it. Completely unlike the neocons that want war for the sake of war, ridiculous profits as you say and in DickGeorge Bush’s case, for oil.
The Bush’s got this thing going and like it or not, here we are. Being tired of war and all that goes with it is one thing, bailing on our place in the world and on doing what we have to do is another. This is the world that we live in.
