I think it should be common sense that if a foreign government carried out a violent terrorist action on US soil it would be considered an act of war. That is a line that no country should believe can be crossed without retribution. I seem to remember about a 90% approval to invading Afghanistan after 911 and Al Qaeda wasn’t a sovereign government. I don’t think NC is actually stupid enough or has the capability to carry out such an action but the President should not have remained silent on that threat. A little tough talk would have gone a long way to reassure the American people that their President had their back.
