Discussion: Obama On Not Visiting Border: 'I'm Not Interested In Photo-Ops'

The Prez needs a body double. With serious body armor. That could be sent into risky situations like this. Because, after Kennedy, which Democrat President would ever go that far into Texas, especially this one.
It was more of a sniper-op than a photo-op.

Once again, I am reminded why I think Barack Obama is the worst president since WWII.

In 2011, Obama criticized Republicans for delaying immigration legislation because of border security concerns saying, "Over the past two years we have answered those concerns. Obama continued, “We have strengthened border security beyond what many believed was possible.”

Obama added, "The Border Patrol has 20,000 agents — more than twice as many as there were in 2004.

About a year later, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano told lawmakers, “Simply put, the Obama administration has undertaken the most serious and sustained actions to secure the Southwest border in our nation’s history.”

What a difference a few years make.

I guess they were both wrong.

The most deportations of any President, and the “crisis” now is we have tens of thousands of minors caught crossing over illegally that we don’t have the resources to process back to their countries of origin… read that again and let it sink in… the crisis is they got caught and we don’t have enough resources to deport them, which the administration is trying to do.

We would not have this “crisis” if they were not being caught and were simply let in which is what you seem to think the problem is.

So which is it, do you want to let them in, or pony up and foot the bill to deport them?

No kidding. Never mind that the problem is we caught so many trying to get in illegally, and by law and treaty we are to deport them back to their country of origin but Congress refuses to pony up the cash to do this, nor will the GOP let comprehensive immigration reform pass either.

So as always, foolmemore and the idiot GOP/teahadist base are crying over the President actually doing what they want (catching those coming in) then blame him for following the law while depriving the administration the resources to deport them.

If we offer them food and shelter, they’ll think they’re entitled to stay here forever, ruining this once great community. I want them out of my face! The only way to deal with them is to refuse to coddle them, refuse to feed them. They can wither away and die. I don’t want to see or hear from them anymore.

I’m talking about trolls, guys. Don’t feed the trolls. Pretend like his name is feedmemore, and then do the opposite.

Jeez, what’d you think I was talking about?

So are Glenn Beck, Louie Gohmert & Mike Lee. Wouldn’t THAT be a great photo op!

They’ve been doing it since the day he was inaugurated the FIRST time.

The anti- immigrate crowd are already attacking the buses with kids on them. So, you can image what would happen if the president went to the border the right wing would go crazier. The way you shut up the GOP is to make them vote or do some work. Case and point: the VA, they are quite a mouse and on Iraq they are scared to vote that’s why they shut up with the criticism. Voting scare them. Plus, it hard to sue someone when you voted for it. Let’s give this president some help, he dealing with something no other president in modern times have seen. Vote or starve this Nov, spread the word. Over and out.

I seriously think that photo’s of the President at the border would be used for more propaganda to bring more desperate folks to come up.

Our media is full of dopes.

I can see an entire ocean of Liberals panties in a wad and cries of Armageddon to come if President Bush said the very same words during Katrina.

WOW!!! Just…WOW!!! Comparing this to Katrina!
Let me clue you in on a couple of things, Lips.
With Katrina, there was a failure in infastructure which cause certain areas of New Orleans to flood…badly. As a result, many American citizens died. There was looting (or “borrowing”, depending upon the skin tone of the person). And some people were shot in cold blood. The place was chaos. For American people, and people felt Bush did not respond as soon as he should have.

In this case, we have refugees being cared for on American soil. This is not like people floating in water. This is not life threatening for Americans, unless you consider the protesters getting a paper cut from the signs that say “Go Home, Illegal Aliens”.

Try all you want, there is no corralation between the two issues.
But nice try.
