Discussion: Obama Mulls Massive Move on Immigration

I lived in Phoenix for 13 years. Our house was the fourth in the subdivision and after work I would watch Spanish speaking men build my neighbors’ houses for about 4 hours after my 10 hour shift ended. The exception was Sunday, when some of the guys brought their wives and girlfriends in too, so they only had to work 6 or 8 hours.

I just can’t get mad at a person who wants to work 14 hour days, in 110 degree heat, for 8 bucks an hour cash. I just can’t get mad at a bilingual, subcontracted team leader who gets paid to do a 10 man job and has to pick up the other 9 men off a street corner by Home Depot.

I can absolutely get mad at the home builder, who pocketed approximately 100% of the bubble profits while passing none of it back to the workers and none of the savings to buyers.

All politicians like. Obama’s biggest lie as President helped get 10 million people health insurance. Bush’s biggest lie got 100,000+ people killed.

See, it’s exactly the same!

Compromise with the “Washington consensus” was losing the midterms. Might as well be what they think you are. It’s the best way of getting the Democratic base to the polls.

There will be such weeping and wailing and gnashing of tooth’ in Contardia and Baggerstan, USA. Just makes my day to think of it!

Because bringing in more people will help the middle class and young people already here get jobs.

Amen to that. And besides, they are gonna sue the President at the very least, so why the hell not?

“It would be an affront to the people of this country which they will never forgive, it would be a permanent stain on your presidency,” Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said

This coming from a politician who’s an affront to the majority of the working people in this country, and is also a stain on human decency and moderation.

I am so delighted. The Right Wing hates him so much already–why not give them more to hate, so they will turn into puddles like Rumpelstiltskin? Their narrative about him being weak and lacking leadership is running right into a cement wall. Go Obama! The bigger, the bolder, the better!

Passing an immigration bill won’t make the GOP a minority party forever and ever.

Being and cultivating a bunch of lying, racist, bigoted, willfully ignorant, hateful, science-hating, spiteful, war-mongering, hypocritical fu*kknuckles is what will make the GOP a minority party forever and ever.

Hopefully, extinction awaits the GOPigs…good riddance!

Whether the move is good or bad for vulnerable Dem Senators probably depends a lot on whether their Republican opponents have been able to nationalize the election. It may send a surge through the GOP base in the final two weeks if something comes down mid-October, but I could see enough Arkansans still thinking it’s a referendum on Mark Pryor generally (or Louisianans with Landrieu).

Do it the day the House adjourns for the August recess without doing anything on immigration in the last 18 months. Wait’ll the xenophobes in the GOP base tear into House and Senate GOPs at townhall meetings and other venues during the recess. The YouTube videos will be priceless.

Very disappointing, if the Republicans stay out of other issues the Senate is theirs to lose.

If it makes conservatives heads explode…you are doing it right Mr President.

Surely the almost Mexican Senators, in name only, Rubio and Cruz, will convince millions of Latin immigrants that Obama is a bad hombre and no gusta them.

Sessions and the other glow white Repubs should let black people know what’s best for them and women also too, whilst they’re playing Kings with people’s lives.

Call me crazy but it seems a lot like Republicans want things their way and their way only and have no tolerance for anyone that isn’t just like them. That super-race thing didn’t go over so well the first time around and now these guys are just wrinkled weaklings with a supremacy complex.

Obama Mulls Massive Move on Immigration

Yeah, a massive BM on the GOP!

Thing is, if the Congress would do anything he would not have to do this sort of thing. The House has not even passed a way to solve this. Their own members cannot agree.
