Smarts and maturity…we won’t see the likes of that from the WH for a while.
Yeah, what President Obama said – ditto. Thanks, Josh!
Fuck, I’m gonna miss these people. Fuck.

Obama Honors White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest At Last Briefing
You know, that may well be literally the last WH briefing…
I don’t have the words to express how much I am going to miss President Obama and his staff!
@taters has an image of the new ones (if any) will look like all queued up on another thread.
Honest, dignified, and damn funny. We won’t see that again soon. It was nice to feel pride in our executive branch for all these years. We’ll have to work hard to deserve it again.
"Each of you and what you do every day is critical
to the success of our democracy," he said. "It's
made President Obama a better president and a
better public servant and it's because you
persevere and you never go easy on us. So even
though it's my last day,
you better not let up now."

Does anybody think he’ll just go quietly into the night ?? …
Got news for ya … he’s already working on tomorrow ----
I LOVE this President … and Josh too ! ----
Press Secretaries reflect the people they represent. I’ve seen so many over the years, some who blatantly and smilingly just stand there and lie because it’s what they do naturally, some who squirm and look uncomfortable knowing that they’re lying (or at the least, misleading) and who finally resign to spend more time with someone or something that gets them out of the cold-sweats business, some who are basically decent and honest and just get exhausted from the daily stress of having to know so much and think on their feet every minute of the day and look like it’s easy fielding questions in difficult times. This one served the President well and honorably and goes out with a good reputation and gratitude from, apparently, everyone he worked with and, wow!, the press corps.
Watching the new folks already lying and misleading everyone all the time, with no apparent gene for personal shame, isn’t a good feeling. But I have to hold out hope that the national press has learned something in the past year that will inspire them to at least attempt to rise to the occasion in a manner that will help keep the country from imploding in the next four years. If we haven’t got that, we’ve got nothing.
Nice. Thanks Josh. You always kept your cool. You’ll be missed.
What a stand-up guy Obama is. He obviously inspires loyalty in his staff the old-fashioned way – he earns it. He earns it by making loyalty a two-way street. The lack of scandals in this White House I attribute to this loyalty. Now Imagine what a White House run on fear is going to look like: Trump at the top of the heap with Priebus, Bannon, and Conway doing the enforcing, and Spicer as the mouthpiece. It’s already ugly and they don’t even have absolute power yet. If absolute power corrupts absolutely, we’re about to find out what happens when you give people who are already absolutely corrupt absolute power.
What are you worried about?
Aren’t you happy that we are going to get to see (M)aking (A)merica (G)reat (G)o (O)n (T)V?
I see what you did there.
