I think Obama is almost daring Boehner to do it. I think he knows full well if Boehner moves ahead with this stunt that it may well help fire up the Democratic base for the 2014 election.

It’s impeachment lite. They know that a real impeachment would blow up in their faces so they try this limp move instead. Hopefully enough to rile up the racists and rednecks (but I repeat myself) but not enough to anger others with “impeachment”.
Will it work? Who knows, but the lawsuit is a joke. Obviously.

Its more a test run, than impeachment lite. They want to make sure there are no hitches when they fire up actual impeachment hearings after the elections.
And, each time Boehner says “this isn’t about impeachment”…he makes it about impeachment.
