Discussion: Obama Calls On Congress To Show 'Courage' On Health Care (VIDEO)

Thanks for giving me the time on that. I’m going to try to get my grocery shopping and other errands out of the way early. This is something I want to see. She presents as a crucial linchpin towards many unanswered questions. She may only be able to reveal useful information in closed-door meetings out of public view, but having the opportunity, I presume under oath, to share those private communications, will be an essential and valuable part of the big picture in all this we all are seeking.

And they REALLY didn’t want her to testify.
How do I know? JiveSpice denied it.

Oh do explain how he looked strange. Was it Obama’s eloquent speech that poured over us like fresh cool water on a hot day or because Dmitry Rybolovlev tightened his choke collar, broke up with him, beat him at golf or all of the above?

He looked like someone who had diarrhea–nauseous, not standing straight.
Probably just a routine diaper change.

Hey, that Dmytry must be one of those Russian guys Uday or Qusay talks about who “really” loves golf. And finances golf courses. Provided thee courses have their own laundry facilities.

It’s a good day when Sally Yates can testify. She brings it all right back to Gen. Guilty As Flynn. Flynn is kryptonite. It’ll at least change the topic from Trump victorious.

I’m also wondering why Graham and not Grassely. Surely Grassley has no shame, maybe he needs to see his foot doctor this afternoon.

I guess I’m crazy and/or naive because I just don’t believe the Senate “moderates” or the Senate’s version of the HFC are going to vote for anything that could pass the House. Folks need to remember that part of the reason they could get “moderates” on board is because they were assured the Senate would fix it and it would never become law. And because they were afraid of PP. That fear doesn’t exist in the Senate.

Hope you had a great Derby!

You’re not crazy or naive.I agree regarding healthcare, for the foreseeable future. I think the Russian situation will completely explode at some point. That’s when the “wind direction” will shift, and survival will trigger “fight or flight” in a lot of people. In Chaffetz, Ross-Lehtinen et al “flight” is happening already.

and the reason America will be deprived is because of corruption in the Democratic party unlike every major country in the world that does provide WiFi. Give me WiFi or give millions of others death under the repeal of ACA.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

It’s going to be a problem from here on in. Bernie people do not support Obamacare, so what incentive do they have to save ACA when they want to work towards single payer. That means we can’t count on them, they want to kill Obamacare as much as anyone on the right.

I read this the other day. Very interesting…and in many ways, new to me.

Good article on the significance of how African Americans were left out of the Kentucky Derby, and are no longer a big part of a race they once held a prominent role in contributing to in many areas from training, to jockeying, to owning prized thoroughbreds that competed, all before Jim Crow.

Honestly, I had no idea. Much like those AA women that helped fuel the necessary brain-trust behind the manned mission launch at NASA in order to beat the Russians during the space race, this was never taught in school…and that makes me sad.

I did! Was sick all week but made it out to a private tent party on the backside. Heard Harry Connick Jr. sing the National Anthem while on the Watterson Expressway around 5pm on the way out. Stayed for the big race and the one after. Hit some traffic on the way out but once back on the Watterson traffic flowed well.

Listening to Harry sing the Star Spangled Banner had a whole new meaning for me this time. I usually get more choked up by My Old KY Home but this time…SSB welled up worry, pride and willingness to fight for our country.

How about you?

Did you see the pic of Always Dreaming biting Bevin?

“I hope they understand that courage means not simply doing what is politically expedient, but doing what they believe deep in their hearts is right.”

Although it is this that makes Obama a great man, it is also his tragic flaw. He is capable of ruthlessness, but he chooses to hope that these Republicans actually believe in decency, or at least are somewhat redeemable.

He plays the long game, but he is not Sax at Kasei Vallis.

“This was the training site for all their secret police. The ones who would never give up. The torturers.” He turned that lizard gaze on her. “We’re better off without them.” And he returned to his piloting.

It would be nice to see Barack stumping in Congress and Senate elections. The view of the ACA has dramatically changed and his voice would be very helpful in swing districts and swing states.

Yes, Bernie people’s immaturity is a problem.

The camparison is just too much. A classy, articulate (Thanks Joe!), calm, erudite leader…and the Orange Tweeter in Chief.

but doing what they believe deep in their hearts is right.”

Mr. President, with all due respect, that’s exactly what these Republicans think they’re doing. The problem isn’t their courage—the problem is that they’re sociopaths whose brains are filled with shit and hearts are filled with bile.

When that button gets pushed the agonized living will envy those who were vaporized in the first MIRV onslaught; those dead will be star dust again.

Trump will emerge from the rabbit hole and declare himself the winner of the Last Person on Earth reality show.
