I think a real investigation will show about what the Kav alluded to in his Fast Times at Ridgemont High reference.

They drank, they partied, they tried to get laid. “Everyone” did it and “nobody” thought it was wrong or considered it rape at the time. The women at the center of it have lived with this buried trauma they’re whole adult lives, because they never had the psychosocial toolkit to address the issue.

The men still don’t get it, and are resentful at the mere suggestion.

Given that the situation is disastrous on its face and 538 was saying a week ago that the least worst option was for Kavanaugh to withdraw himself, I have to imagine the RNC was on the phone pleading with Trump for Christ’s sake to at least not let it look like a whitewash.
