Just as a mental experiment, substitute Trump’s name whenever you are tempted to use the epithet that describes the act of inflicting malicious damage or injury with intent to dominate:
“Aw man, we are so trumped!”
“Trump you!”
“This is all so royally trumped”.
“I’m going to trump you up!”
“What a trumping mess!”
“Trump that sh*t”
“What a nasty little trumper!”
“Get a load of this mothertrumper!”
“Trump ‘er hard!”
If you said any of that, anyone listening would know in an instant what you meant. The man’s name can carry that evil weight with no strain and without confusion.
He’s so trumped if he wants to depend on the continued value of his brand once he’s ejected from politics.
If you read the articles every woman has explained why she didn’t come forward until now (although that ignores the women who have come forward before, and a couple who also have lawsuits against him).
They are pretty much all saying that they were ashamed, felt guilty, and wanted to move on. However, hearing him flatly deny what he did to them in the debate on Sunday (combined with the Access Hollywood revelation that the predatory behavior was deliberate, and not something they brought into themselves) led to them realizing they couldn’t be quiet anymore.
And Josh in his editorial mentions that basic fact checking is probably why these stories are all coming out 2 days later (assuming the women contacted the media outlets on Monday).
All the stories have the women talking about how they felt it was their fault. And all of them mention how hearing Trump describe his predatory actions to Billy Bush was relieving since it was the first time they got some affirmation that they weren’t responsible for Trump’s behavior, but rather, that’s who he is.
Remember reading about how furious Pence was over the Billy Bush video? Wouldn’t it be amusing if the GOP’s plan had been to have someone release this or similar recording in February to impeach Trump so Pence could take over as POTUS. And Pence was in on it…
Or it’s like a game for him that he can’t decline. This is Trump’s drug. In his mind this is the biggest hand he’s ever been in on in his life and he will not fold until he’s busted. Well past the election. Makes me wonder whether his fragile ego will ever allow him to concede the election. His options are: win at all cost, burn it all down, or have a nervous breakdown. Sad. I hope the casualty count is low.

It would be a wonderful milestone if someday it becomes necessary to censor mention of the man’s name because of the sentiments that can be transmitted using it. The usage would wreak havoc with his branding way before that occurred.
Also puts a different spin on it, if you put an exclamation point at the end of the campaign name: “Trump Pence!”.
Makes sense when you remember the respect Donald showed for Mike Pence’s ideas about Syria policy during Sunday’s debate. A more complete phrase expressing that idea would be ‘Donald sez trump Pence and the horse he rode in on!’
Little need, as Dan Savage did for santorum, to instruct folks on the meaning of expanded usages for trump. Donald’s been teaching them through his own actions and attitudes daily. If they are used, listeners are primed to understand immediately.
