Discussion: NYT: Trump Team Divided Over Romney, Giuliani For Secretary Of State

Everyone would be looking at Romney’s knees after private meetings…

And if you don’t like either Dum or Dee, how about another retired military officer? Why not just install CentCom in the Executive Wing?

If Romney is really thinking rationally, he has to be asking, "How many military and political disasters are these clowns going to embroil us in over just the next four years…messes that i am going to have to try and keep from exploding, or worse yet, clean up? I know when I do, critics will be tearing ME a new one every time. Do I really need this? And is there ANY likelihood that I can be a moderating influence on this administration?

If he takes the job (and it is not clear whether his opponents will block him) he clearly has demonstrated he doesn’t have the rational thinking skills to handle it.

I’ve posted this before, but Charlie Pierce never goes wrong in his assessment and on this one he clearly nails it:

If Trump hires Willard to work for him, it will be because he wants to tell people that Mitt Romney came to him begging for a job and that, He, Trump, nature’s nobleman, was a big enough guy to give him one. He’s going to mount Willard’s head on the wall of his den, right above the Tiffany vase that holds Chris Christie’s balls. By next March, he’ll be sending Romney out for another bucket of KFC.

Do many foreign nations have errant air conditioner companies?

It’s a sad commentary that Mitt Romney looks to be the most normal and least damage inducing of anyone he has chosen so far.

Ultimately it really doesn’t matter because your completely unhinged and irrational PEOTUS is likely to pull the rug out from under anyone he nominates the nanosecond he feels slighted or like they aren’t doing his bidding.

Congratulations America. After 8 years of hit dog hollering about how President Obama was (or was not) acting like a King, you actually elected* someone who thinks he WILL get to be King. I worry for you guys. If you aren’t scared…time to get scared.

So I have zero love for Romney, but isn’t it odd for someone like Conway to be tweeting about opposition to a particular candidate?

She really doesn’t have a dog in this fight. By playing nursemaid to a geriatric a-hole, she succeeded in getting her future paydays.

On that note…

I’m new to politics, so bear with me as I ask this particular question.

what exactly is isolationism again?

Conway is desperate to maintain a paycheck. She is going to do whatever she can, whatever he dictates she do, for as long as he deems her useful.

She’s a hack, but I’ve never considered her stupid. She’s seen the highway littered with corpses of those who came before her. She knows how he operates. If she wants to stay in the fold, she’s going to continue to do this…and probably a lot worse…for a long time to come until the day he deems her of no use any longer. Then she’ll go on the scrap heap with the rest of them.

She also knows after this particular campaign she’s unlikely to get a job with another GOP campaign anytime soon. (that’s just a personal opinion of course…damaged goods)

Ari Fleischer was just on CNN and commented on this. He thinks Kellyanne may be “out of the loop” and the only way she knows that person will read her memos is to tweet them.

He still is a full bore Eugenics believer. And so are all the people who celebrated last weekend by Sig Heiling at The Ronald Reagan Building International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., and most of the white folks in the Red Wall of Trump States on election night who were willing to ignore his lack of qualifications, his total crass-ness, his sexual predator admissions corroborated by a dozen women, his lack of any spiritual or other grounding, his mental instability, and his totally revealing draft dodging, in order to (bunny rabbit ear finger gesture for quotation marks) Make America Great Again.

Mitt is at least marginally intelligent and not mentally deranged and hateful.

And Willard will be highly supportive of international “sport” and is a expert on the transportation of canines across state and international boundaries. He will also be a leading proponent of the development of car elevators in developing nations. And did I mention that he speaks French.

Perhaps Queen Ann can convince Malaria to wear underwear.

As long as the Mercer family is around, she’ll have a paycheck.

That’s who installed her—and Bannon—in Pres-elect PG’s campaign to begin with.

They’re far more dangerous than the Koch bros. and Art Pope combined.

Ari Fleischer is a congenital liar and a monumental asshole.

That’s why I like you. You can always find a person’s good points.

Here I was thinking the double-talking Kellyanne was one o those trying to “moderate” Trump. Or has Bannon hacked her twitter account?

The two of them are very attached to one another (at the wrists and ankles) because of their shared fealty to the Mercer family of right-wing neo-Nazi assholes.

Having trouble sorting out the players.

Is ‘Malaria’ the same person as ‘First Nipple’?

Malaria’s the name, First Nipple is the title. “Her Whorishness” is the style.

Malaria, Her Whorishness, the First Nipple

That is the top comment of the thread, hands down.
