Actually, I think they probably did get what they hoped out of it–favorable treatment from the administration. Most likely, they are perfectly happy to have Trump pocket the leftovers, so the Administration would do their bidding. I’m pretty sure the small donors gave a tiny portion of the total.

I wondered why they couldn’t use the left over funds from the inaugural fund for Trump’s military parade extravaganza if he wanted it so badly since I was under the impression it could be used for anything Trump wanted–now I know. What a bunch of grifters–less than $5 million left over for charities.
