I’ve seen video of Marco’s reckless driving.

And let me tell you, his brother Luigi is even worse!

Good to know that l’il Marco and his wifey are law and order supporters…except for themselves. Please stop voting for Republicans, no good can come from it.

One rule for politicians and another rule for us nobodies. Need any of us be surprised. We just regular little folk would be in prison for that many driving citations.

The Rubios are special. They should be allowed to do anything they want and laws should not be applied to them. He is the next messiah and is here to save us all.

Surprised NYT is wasting their time on a non-issue.

For Rubio it seems to be a feeling of entitlement … didn’t he use taxpayer funds for personal expenses when he was in the state legislature?

The senator reportedly once faced a license suspension for running a red light; his lawyer delayed it and it was “eventually dismissed,” according to the Times.

His wife, Jeanette Rubio, reportedly racked up 13 of the citations, faced suspension three times, and failed at least one driving remedial driving course.

Can anyone say PRIVILEGE, if this was 99% of other people the cops/DMV would be all over their ass and rightly so. This happens frequently, an example, was in a fender bender, woman was turning left in left turn lane then decided to go straight, smack. When cop came first words out of her mouth were “I’m a Doctors wife”… Say what… Cop left her walk without a ticket. Since he did so, it became a bear to get her Insurance Company to pay for the damage. Ended up in Small Claims Court where she tried the same shit, she also brought a Lawyer, which is a no no. PRIVILEGE ain’t it grand.

Nice avatar brother!

It’s easy to miss seeing a traffic light turn red when you’re in the middle of looking for your water bottle.

After Rubio became a senator in 2010, the Times said he began using a specialist, Alex Hanna, to handle his citations:

Mr. Rubio hired Mr. Hanna, a Miami-based lawyer and donor, whose website sales pitch says, “Have you received a traffic ticket? Don’t pay it.” With Mr. Hanna’s help, Mr. Rubio’s last two citations were dismissed and seven of Ms. Rubio’s last eight were cleared.

This is what really does it for me. The audacity of this Mo’Fooker to show his pasty little face on the Sunday morning talk shows let alone think he should be elected POTUS is f’ing unbelievable. The Rube just cannot be bothered to be accountable for his own failings like yer typical man/woman on the street.

A review of records dating back to 1997 shows that the couple had a combined 17 citations: Mr. Rubio with four and his wife with 13.

So it’s mostly Jeanette Rubio with the problem. Even if it were mostly Marco Rubio, it would not be relevant. What’s truly relevant is what he would do if elected president (which is why I would never vote for him or any other Republican).

If this were a story about a politician I liked it would not change my opinion of them.

Yep, we’ve all had a traffic tix or two, but 17? Speaks volumes about the character of the Rubios: Rules are for suckers.

I would agree in a vacuum but I think if you can tie it to a larger narrative about his own sense of entitlement/hypocrisy around one set of rules for himself and another for others (e.g. his “illegal” immigrant grandfather vs his current immigration stance) it might be helpful.
