I’m going to be 68 years young in less than a week. I was alive also. I also believed it for many years with all my heart and soul until I read that book.

There was a conspiracy theory (mostly on the left) that suggested that Bush 41 had a secret meeting with the Iranians to cut a deal. I think this would have been more definitively established after the 1984, 1988, and 1992 elections.)
On the other hand, the Reagan campaign strongly hinted that they would get a better deal if they held off and helped Reagan win. No secret meetings or messages written in invisible ink, just some broad hints. (And some more broad hints that had they not cooperated, Reagan would have established his warmonger cred at the expense of any building left standing in Tehran.

No. Honestly, I was assuming that the New York Times had banned him from reporting on this topic based on some controversy or conflict of interest. Maybe they just found out he had applied to become the next spokesperson for the Iranian government, or joined some “let’s invade Iran”-type of think tank, or something like that.

Or claims that his father and Huma Abedin’s father were sworn members of The Muslim Brotherhood. Claims by Screaching Jeanine Pyro, and Geraldo (I slept with 800 women) Rivera and Sean Hannity. Which need to be duly investigated to avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest.

My Avatar is the Ayla character from Clan of the Cave Bear. She’s from Jean Auel’s books that were pretty popular many years ago.
The other avatar I use is Rae Dawn Chong’s character from the movie “Quest for Fire”. She has a painted face also.

Regardless of how much Trump whines about the NYT, I can’t help but feel there’s some kind of pact between them.
It’s just a feeling I get. As a native New Yorker, I feel Trump is happy to see his name in any headline in the NYT. Regardless if it’s negative or positive, I have a feeling Trump is glad for the publicity.

It was one of my notable talents at my all male catholic 7-12th grade school. And my first two years of college.
I have never read any of Jean Auel’s books. I did see Quest For Fire and I think it may have been Tom Waits’ first film role.
I will also look for the book you mentioned about the Iran hostage release on Alibris. I have a long cue of books I want to read, but I will get around to it. When I commute to a project I tend to read about a book every 5 days. Then they stack up.
