Finally found that “NYT” article. its a satire site, header clearly states “if todays NYT editors were in charge in 1943…” Lets not let his undercut well deserved criticism with this fake front page

WaPo and many other outlets had an updated story on this 3 weeks ago.
Janet Reitman of The New York Times Magazine is writing a book on this and had an article in NYTMag a month ago.
Obama distributed $10M in 2016 for Countering Violent Extremism Grant Program, but Trump cancelled it.
But the real outrage that scottsa and I remember is the Obama 2009 report on the rise and potential increase of right-wing extremism. The Republicans went crazy.
In my view, it is not ‘we’, the media, or law enforcement that ignored right-wing extremism. It is Trump, Fox, and GOPers. They still ignore it to this day.

I know they have a “Hamilton” desk.
Let’s not forget the old Spy magazine which ran a monthly column devoted to the Times botch of the month.
There were also regular appearances in the “Logrolling In Our Time” feature.
