Then what, the adviser asked, would Trump be in charge of?
“Making America great again” was the casual reply.
tRump must stay involved with the various scams and cons that make up his businesses. It was never his intention to actually be involved running America other than to occasionally be seen sitting on the throne.
President for Life Trump will oversee construction of the massive, new White Tower atop the, architecturally reconfigured into a foyer, older White House before spending the rest of his days seeking the lost Ring of Power.
I always thought if Trump won, his Cabinet would be the ones actually making policy decisions. So finding out the Trump wants the VP to be the de facto President is not surprising.
No, it proves that 33-45% of people are that stupid, we’ll have to wait for the numbers of people stupid enough to not vote/vote third party before we can tell if a majority of people are that stupid.
You hit the hammer on Trump’s pointy head. He doesn’t want to be a president, he wants to be a medieval king–or what he imagines a medieval king to be like.
Well, its the unspoken part of this that will cause him real heartburn. He wants the VP to be in charge of everything, because he thinks when things go south, he can just fire him and get a new one.
But the VP is an elected position, he can’t be fired…only impeached or voted out of office/or dropped from the ticket in 4 years.
To me, this just underlines perhaps the biggest danger here. Trump simply has no concept of what the job actually entails. From these delusional perceptions of just getting the glory and not having to do the dirty work, to the equally nonsensical view that he can keep running his businesses with his wife/children as figurehead CEOs.
If Kasich confirmed it on the record, rather than just leaking it this way, that would probably make it blow up. It’s already zinging around but in a more low-key way.
NYT: Donald Trump Wants His VP To Be In Charge Of ALL Policy
My dad has been saying for a few months now that Trump’s VP selection is the real important selection this cycle, because Trump isn’t real interested in the actual work of being President just the ego boost that would come from winning and will pull a Palin before his term is done leaving the VP as President. This news would seem to put an interesting spin on that theory.
This is the kind of thing that underscores his mental illness. I think he honestly believes he’ll just radiate awesomeness that will make the deserts bloom and so forth. He won’t have to actually, you know, work, or know stuff. Just being himself will be enough. The VP will take care of the details.
Soooo…The Donald will willingly be Medvedev to Pence’s Putin (*When Putin couldn’t run for a third term in 2008)??? WTF? Oh Donny, you’ve got this all wrong!
For starters…You’re gonna’ have to get another VP who’s much more evil, competent and Machiavellian… Calling Ted Cruz!
lmao
Hard to know whether to laugh or cry at this roiling insanity. It’s so weird and insane and potentially dangerous, one shudders at the possible outcomes.
And this, for ratings, is the Maguffin the webs are hiding like a peanut in a sidewalk shell game as they glide over Nazi stars, fake identities and the theft of others’ “feelings” or writings to dangerously and far above their paygrade prop up this buffoon until November.

This also would apply to his acolytes who think this makes total sense and vote him into office. Truly, the maniacs are running their asylum.
