And that’s why his supporters still love him. Stupid people who elected a deeply stupid man to do stupid things that they think are smart things because smart things look stupid and stupid things look smart to stupid people will continue to cheer as long as stupid things appear to be getting done.
Yeah, I’m done with them. We can’t make them stop being stupid. There are too many people with too much money who are deeply invested in making them stupid and keeping them that way. All we can do is recognize the danger and try to contain them politically.

This is all much ado over nothing.
Look, as Josh points out, the Israelis were worried back in January about this exact thing, that Trump would share with Russia any intelligence that they share with the US, therefore perhaps they should stop sharing with the US. So, what you do in that situation, when you’re worried that someone privy to secrets might leak them, is you plant some false info with the person you’re concerned is leaking. It’s fake intel, so if it ends up in the wrong hands, you know it could only have come from the source you’re worried about. It’s not real intel, so no one else could have discovered it independently of your planting it.
And it’s fake intel, so no harm done if it gets into the wrong hands. In fact, that’s a side benefit, that the wrong hands get hold of some disinformation.
Maybe. My real point however is that the DGSE, like Mossad, has a reputation for being a bit more . . . untethered, shall we say . . . from the political leadership than most other first rank foreign intelligence agencies these days.
Again, I don’t really know anything about this stuff. But that’s the reputation. And Mossad certainly seems to go out of its way to foster it.

Yesterday I had occasion to fly from Atlanta to Las Vegas and thence home to Tucson. On the first leg of the journey my seat mate was a proud member of the RNC’s Presidential Advisory Board. I was regaled for 4 hours on the greatness of The Donald … This guy tested my patience severely.
At one point the guy said “But trump is bringing back JOBS!!!”
Unable to stop myself I said…“Yeah? Where exactly?”
“Buu, Buuu…Ummmm … JOBS!! Yeah Jobs!!” was the fumbled answer.
I concluded this fellow had no reasoning ability, interest in factual reality or logic and so I just let him prattle on in happy ignorance. Sad though that he apparently thinks he’s got trump’s ear being on the RNC Presidential Advisory Board.
