Discussion: NYT: 5 Million Could Be Covered By Obama's Immigration Executive Action

The Democrats begged him NOT to do it before the election – to protect Hagan, Pryor and Landrieu primarily.

He could have brought out the Hispanic vote big time. But they blamed him for delaying when it was his disloyal democrats who caused it.

Now he is as free as the breeze: no one can hang electoral defeats on him, and he’s taking his head.

Do it, Mr. President, just do it! Keep those retrograde idiots in a tizzy and off balance and don’t let up. On other issues veto, veto, and then veto again.

They are not going to pursue any useful or legitimate legislation, so just harry them until they can’t see straight. Not that they can see straight in the first place.

With all due respect MyMy, I saw data that suggested Hispanics were not a significant part of the electorate in the mid term states and thus could not save folks like Udall in Co.

Now the trick will be to get all my lazy a$$ fellow liberals that sat at home and didn’t vote, to stand up and have the presidents back for a change, instead of constantly screaming about how this president isn’t perfect!!!

Republican narratives exploit the facts. Republican lawmakers aren’t just obstructing immigration reforms, they’re also obstructing existing immigration laws.

Recall that Ronald Reagan issued three times more executive orders than President Obama, including amnesty of of undocumented workers, despite not being subjected to total obstruction in Congress.

Obama knows any executive order that does not faithfully carry out the will of Congress is unconstitutional but like most of you seditious progressive democrats here he just doesn’t care.
[/quote] Not to carry anyone’s will, especially the wills of The Congress.

His ONLY duty is to carry out - aka enforce - the WRITTEN letter of bills passed by Congress that have been signed into law. And most of those laws are due to much interpretation and timing issues. It’s the job of The Congress to FUND the enforcement of all those laws.

No funding, no enforcement. Right?

Actions speak louder than words and republican actions (or inaction) concerning minority rights are loud and clear. Dogwhistle clear.
