"And his daughter converted! “Plus his grandchildren!” “He’s the Orange Messiah!”
Keep Austin weird! His ashes belong in a aluminum tube.
Oh, it’s anti-Semitic all right. MacNeal made a vague reference to the association it brings in relation to money. Another subconscious connection they were aiming for is that one of the most famous songs Tevye sings in “Fiddler on the Roof” is the classic “If I Were a Rich Man…”
It’s Austin. They can’t cremate him. Someone would rail up the ashes.
Edited for clarity.
Anti-Semitism is the only point. The lame play on words has no other purpose than to allow the use of an image inextricably associated with Jewishness to identify the man’s religion.
I wonder who owns the copyright on the original image used in the Photoshopped version. Were they paid? Or is this just another example of the GOP taking something that doesn’t belong to them?
When it comes to famous fiddlers, Nero gets no love anymore.
Oh, I see it for what it was, but they are clever enough to allow themselves to claim “plausible deniability.” Sort of.
Isn’t Ed Cox married to Trisha Nixon?
That would be the remnants of 80’s W.
Yes, she seems to keep a low profile here in NY. I remember the Nixon daughter’s wedding’s. There seemed to be little if any controversy at the time. Imagine if one of the Obama daughters had a White House wedding. Wingnut heads would implode.
Epicurus, unless you are not a Jew, this ad is overtly offensive as anti-semitic to us. Do not belittle the fact that the rabid dogs will go after your ethnicity as well.
Ramen!
I am not Jewish, but please re-read my comment. I am in no way apologizing for this smear, as I am in fact multi-ethnic, they will have plenty of ammunition, and I was simply trying to point out the sleazy tactics and “dog whistles” constantly used by the GOP and their candidates. This was cleverly-disguised anti-Semitism, and designed for plausible deniability. Have an easy fast, my friend. (I can make assumptions about you, too!)
