Discussion: NY Post Sinks To New Low With Cover Showing Journalist's Reported Execution

Nah, beheading is acceptable, but breastfeeding’s a bridge too far.

I understand the urge to look, but I do not understand the urge to purchase, and thus support the Post and its cloacal content. Can you clarify, please?

Their only concern will be: “Did it sell more papers ?”

Their true feelings about anyone who does not share their point of view: “They must be a liberal sissy”

In 1928, sister tabloid NY Daily News had its cover as Ruth Snyder in the electric chair at Sing Sing.

A photograher had smuggled a small camera into the prison.

You know, just so I could frame it.

Seriously, it was a joke.

Kudos for your use of “cloacal”.

If it bleeds, it leads. Some things in journalism never change.

Point taken.

The photo is not gory, but is disturbing. It gives everyone a picture of what The Islamic State is about. Some may see this as a new low for the NY Post. I see it as low with a point to be made. And, if you can’t handle the truth, look away.

I won’t look either. First, I down’t want to disrespect the family; my god, what they are going through on top of nearly 2 years of heartache and worry … Second, I don’t want to give the Murdoch empire the page views.

A quibble with the headline – it wasn’t an “execution.” It was murder.

And TPM sinks to new low by linking to the NY Post’s article.

NY Post Sinks To New Low With Cover Showing Journalist’s Execution

TPM, HELLO!!!

Quit the faux moral outrage.

While you have not (at the moment) shown the execution on your page you put a link to the NY Post’s article of the execution in this piece you’ve written. Therefore, you’ve stooped to the same low that you have accused the the NY Post of.

You obviously didn’t want to get ripped by your posters for posting the photo on your page so you indirectly posted it by sending them to view the NY Post’s article.

Shame on your hypocrisy!!!

Thanks, Rupert. You and your entire enterprise are depraved beyond description.

This has been weighing heavy on my mind so I just want to put it out there - Saturday someone had started a hashtag game #ISISmovies making fun of the Islamic State which I partook in. Most of the tweets were funny like “No Country for Christians”, “Bomb and Bomber” and “Backwards to the Future”. Some of the tweets might have been considered offensive to moderate Muslims and some were obviously sympathetic to Jihadists.

I’ve had an awful feeling that the game might have had something to do with Foley’s murder.

For those who say that Rupert Murdoch should be deported-----

Murdoch is a naturalized American citizen, and cannot be deported.
As depraved as this example of his brand of “journalism” may be, it doesn’t rise to the level required for his citizenship to be revoked.

I’m not looking either. And let me say for the record, that these ISIL assholes could not have done anything stupider. Obama is the guy who hunted down Bin Ladin. He’s already furious at them for enslaving women and children. Now he’s going to light them up like Christmas trees.

I’m not a violent person, but I sincerely hope he erases them from the face of the earth.

Okay, not deported. Can I hope that he strokes out and leaves this mortal coil?

Too bad that something like this helps them sell paper. Quite telling about the readership of that POS of paper. Also, they seem to know their readership very well, if that is the case.

As Mark Twain observed, “I have never killed a man, but I have read obituaries with great approval.”

Isn’t the NY Post just doing the terrorists work for them by spreading the terror? Seems unpatriotic.
