Thing is, they’re great at getting elected, but they’re just inept at doing anything once they get to WDC. They can shut stuff down, but it just ticks off everyone, and otherwise they can bug the Usurper In Chief and re-name every post office after some lion of the Confederacy or St. Ronnie.

Leave aside that Iran is a huge country, with a population of almost 80 millions, bigger than any of the western European democracies, and a sophisticated infrastructure with a tremendous amount of technical skill. Iranians are highly educated, with a lot more diversity than the Shi’'ia ayatollafate would suggest. Again leave all that aside:
Since WWII, Iran has gone thru a decade of cooperation with US under a Democratic president (FDR), the ‘protective’ occupation by mostly British Allied forces to stop Hitler and the Nazis from getting Iranian oil and gas, with US consultation and support under a Democratic president (Truman) forming it’s own secular constitutional democracy, having that overthrown by the US CIA under a Republican president and having the US install a brutal puppet dictator, itself overturning that dictatorship, then fighting a decade long war against Iraq with Iraq being largely instigated and paid by the US under a Republican president, trying to make a Grand Deal with the Republican Fuckup in Chief in 2001-3 …
I mean, how can ANYONE even IMAGINE that Iran doesn’t understand the difference between dealing with US Republicans and dealing with US Democrats? I bet that the typical talk in the markets and shops and offices and universities in the larger Iranian cities and towns is all about that bunch of supreme a-holes American Republicans are.
But these stupid schmucks are so hell bent on erasing the Kenyan Muslim Usurper from the history books so they don’t have to deal with his history the way they had to with FDR’s, they just can’t stop from betraying their oaths to their country.

IMO, it’s about time someone called them out for what they are. The GOP has been putting petty politics, not even high minded philosophical political differences, above the nation’s interest for years now. Shame on them.

They believe in armageddon, and apocalypse and rapture. By helping Bibi Netanyahoo win the Israeli election they have helped their god jesus’ beget his son, be born again and come a second time on earth.
Including Iowa’s Chuck Grassley, head of the Judiciary Committee. What does that tell us about "a farmer from Iowa with no formal study of the law " heading the Judiciary Committee?
