Discussion: NY Daily News Invokes Anti-Nazi Poem In Trump Cover

Yep. Raises the visibility of his franchise. He doesn’t want to be President. He just wants to fool some of the people all of the time.

thru Doremus Jessup

Whereas this is an appropriate cover in the context of the quote, Trump is really much more similar to Mussolini than to Hitler in attitude.
Mussolini was a megalomaniacal naccissist who used his Black Shirts to assault and take over and control the government one street battle and city council at a time. He basically invented “Fascism”. He was highly praised by many Industrialists in the USA who HATED FDR with a passion and were terrified of the Communists that Mussolini successfully cast as “the enemy”.
Hitler was a sociopathic genius at Political Manipulation of the Masses who was ELECTED to office (after failing miserably in his 1922 “putsch” armed revolution.) He was SUPPORTED by the Big Monied interests and Industrialists in Germany, and deftly used the rules of Government against it to solidify his power. He did not SEIZE power like Mussolini did, he was GRANTED power by frightened, arrogant fools at the ballot box, and cynical Industrialists that thought they could “Control Him” for their profit.

Clearly the artist studied in medieval Romanesque style of drawing fingers.

I think THIS helps:

Note the up raised middle finger. And that caterpillar on his upper lip.

I don’t think so any more.

very apropos - However it all brings to mind a couple of other quotes -
(1.) … “Never do an enemy a small injury” – Niccolo Machiavelli.
(2.) … “That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

concerned that repeated small injuries to this maniac only makes him stronger & desensitizes the general public as to his truly twisted nature.

No disrespect meant to present company, but I respectfully suggest that Upton’s quote is pretty obvious…just as the misfit teahadders are all supposedly “patriots.” They’re just misanthropes and they don’t hide it well…they also come in a flag and some of them are praisin’ Jesus, blah blah,

They get a little tabloidy sometimes, but they’re definitely no New York Post. This is one of my favs from the Gingrich era.

Nor do I.

The election of G.W, Bush, right after the so-called “Clinton success” convinced me that “shoo-ins” are not a given. Especially since people on the Right are so much more motivated to vote than everyone else.

Wow, the Daily News is poking him in the eye. Still, what’s their circulation compared to the Post?
