Discussion: NV Judge Skeptical Of Trump Camp Early Voting Lawsuit: 'Why Are You Here?'

“The Trump campaign attorney, meanwhile, tried to spin the whole thing as a win, arguing that the hearing now provided a record of the county agreeing to preserve the information.”

This is hilarious. Yaay us, victory! We got them to do what they were already doing, but didn’t get what we actually wanted. Yaay, we won!

Following her summary rejection of the HOTOG campaign’s lawsuit, Judge Gloria Sturmam retired to her chambers to play some soothing music that would help put the day’s events in the proper perspective.

I have not the slightest bit of doubt that Trump has expanded every sane person’s vocabulary…in a number of languages.

Everywhere in the inhabited world.

I thought Trump only hires the best and brightest. That attorney looked like he was out of his league.

That’s what happens when your ‘best people’ can’t understand election law!

I suspect that every Diccionario Urbano is being hastily reformatted to include Drumpf’s picture under the entry for pendejo.

I watched some of this live on the net and the judge was not having any of it. The motion was a mess, the lawyer was a mess. What a great preview of what a term of President Trump would be like - a complete mess.

I guess Trump’s plan is to throw lawyers at every jurisdiction until the campaign is bled dry. I almost feel sorry for the vendors the campaign will not be paying - almost.

So a couple of mobbed up construction lawyers just wasted a judge’s time and billed themselves some of Rump’s money. Nothing to see here. Moving right along…

We all should have asked that question at the outset of this election.

The hilarious part is that there is absolutely zero chance he’ll actually pay them. After all, they did a terrible job. A total disaster, believe me.

Quick, trumpf’s crack research team better check if she’s “A mexican” or a part of any other group that trumpf has decided can’t make judgements against him.

Or “not a 10.”

I suspect she’ll be denounced by his flying monkeys as an (((international banker))).

What the heck difference does it make if voters voted after the polls were supposed to be closed? What matters is people voting more than once, unqualified people voting, harassing voters at polling places, or other actions to destroy the value of a qualified person’s vote. Just more of the same old Pubbie B.S.

Looking at the Nevada law, it seems pretty sane.

Regular voting on election day takes place 7 AM to 7 PM. There is a provision for regular voting that anyone in line when the polls close may still vote.

Early voting at regular polling places also has fixed hours, which may extend until 8 PM rather than 6 PM if the County Clerk determines. There doesn’t seem to be a statement about people in line at polling place closing time, however: such an approach is not forbidden, but nor is it required.

But: for early voting at temporary polling places, the discretion of the County Clerk seems very wide: “The provisions of subsection 3 of NRS 293.3568 do not apply to a temporary polling place. Voting at a temporary branch polling place may be conducted on any one or more days and during any hours within the period for early voting by personal appearance, as determined by the county clerk.”

Since the Cardenas store was most likely a temporary polling place (how would one find out), if so, they could follow whatever hours the County Clerk and his/her office wanted, without hours restrictions that would otherwise apply.

Throw the idiots out of court!

And poll workers to make sure voters vote for Trump.
