Discussion: NRA's Ties To Putin Allies Go Back Years

Well said, sir. Well said.

And redistribute them to his allies. Plus, gun manufacturers would get big, no bid contracts to supply the security forces and other sweetheart deals. And since the NRA is just the marketing arm of the gun manufacturers/Russian government/mafia, that suits them just fine.

This isn’t unsurprising; the NRA membership has been on a downward slide for decades and gun ownership is nearing collapse in the US. They have shown they will do ANYTHING to keep the NRA functioning which includes victim blaming, racism, misogyny, and threats to critics. Of course they would happily take Russian money if it meant they could hold on to relevancy

Take the rest of the day off.

Here, let me finish that thought for you.
America could once again become a leader in the free world and our country would be rid of the infection that has festered way to long. Then we can dismantle what is left of the gop into little pieces while we get to smack them around like gnats on a hot summer night until they are reduced to history, never to return to reality.
sheesh, I could go on for 1000 more words easily. lol

Seconding cervantes, thank you for your excellent summation of the numerous connections between the NRA and Russians.

While that might be true, it is the case that far more Kalashnikovs are sold in the U.S., than to the Russian Military. That is a horrifying fact, I think. Also, for the record, I don’t think Mr. Putin is an actual fan of gun sales to private individuals in Russia, or any of the closely neighboring states where, quite literally, an armed populace might represent a significant threat to him, personally. (Not that I believe an armed populace can effectively fight off a modern army, but they can make more trouble than an unarmed populace.)

It seems the culture of death’s NRA will end up in Mueller’s RICO prosecution

unlikely ties between the gun group and right-wing Russians

Unlikely? Unlikely? Who could have imagined that two of the worst right-wing groups in the world would find common cause? Certainly not Trump or TPM.

Imagine Putin allowing all of his citizens the right to own guns and carry them concealed? Yeah RIGHT!,

We have to take back the government and then lock up, try, sentence and punish everyone involved with this whether witting or not. Hundreds will be jailed and too fucking bad. Pepe LePuePiere, the entire Trump administration, half of Congress, and yes Jill Stein , the Trump family and all his lawyers - time fo take their fucking guns, liberty, cash and freedom away - execute the whole lot.

This is war. This is treason. This cannot go unpunished.
Now a word from our sponsor. McDonald’s, feeding presidents since 2017.

Yeah, great piece except for this line. Should have been on the floor of the editing room.

I think you are getting warmer.

“the value system of Southern Christians and the value system of Russians are very much in line.”

And tell us more about that alignment of values , Mr Kline. Please proceed.

Yes! Now perhaps a Putin approved for Russians only bumper sticker: “Protect Our Right To Bear Tiki Torches”?

It turns out (from what I have read) that the right-wing parties in Europe (like Marine Le Pen’s) are actually being financed by Putin-Russia!

I had read previously that Stein and the Green Party are also financed by Putin-Russia.

I have friends who are Greens and I don’t broach the subject with them. The Greens ‘picked’ her because she was willing to run, it did not matter what her bona fides were. I doubt the Greens (earnest do-gooders) knew about ANY of this Russia stuff.

I hope they read her out of their Party.

the ruskies funneling money into the most effective violence-promoting lobbying group in the nation that wholly and openly supports the republicon party? don’t say it’s so!

when the twitter and facebook news came out that russians had fully permeated the system with fake accounts pushing propaganda, the NRA was an obvious choice of an entity to serve the same role. I am going to venture to guess that, like tRUmp’s twitter bot followers, a substantial portion of NRA members are actually russian funded fronts.

it fits the model, easily shielded from public view funding source that wraps itself in the flag while promoting policies that only result in more extreme violence, the NRA doesn’t promote policies that secure the common people of this country, they promote propaganda to aid in allowing the most violent products possible to everyone, including terrorists, doesn’t sound like a group promoting policies for the welfare of the masses, sounds like a group promoting policies for endless violence,

used to be for hunter’s education, now it’s for bump stocks, large capacity magazines, and the deaths of 500 people at a time

time to audit the NRA
