It’s the same thing they do with minorities, under the delusion that women and minorities only vote Democrat because they’re fooled by marketing and free stuff into going against their self interests. But that’s just based on their own experiences, where they really CAN manufacture outrage on any issue they want just by having Fox News talk about it, which makes the rubes ignore self interests. So they just assume that that’s how Democrats do it too if they can just find the right sales pitch.
(Taps Wayne’s shoulder)…Wayne? Ol’ buddy, here’s the result of your “guns in everybody’s hands” policy:
All of America’s women, you aren’t free if you aren’t free to defend yourself
None of the modest gun control proposals would prevent a law-abiding woman (or man) from getting a handgun for typical self-defense scenarios.
Perhaps Wayne imagines more Bundy-like situations approaching gender equity.
This concern for the ladies seems at odds with your take on the domestic-abuser-gun-ban case going on at SCOTUS, Wayne
But if you keep the abused ladies scared, knowing their abuser is armed, you may make a gun sale. Brilliant
Then NRA on the other hand does not care about anyone. As far as they’re concerned, everyone has the right to be shot to death and that’s that. They do not discriminate.
Any time Wayne LaPierre says you are doing something wrong, you can rest assure that you are doing it right.
It’s like every time I hear a Texas politician talking about “protecting women’s health,” I immediately know that what they mean is making abortion impossible, which doesn’t protect our health.
Wayne is really saying that Clinton’s gun policy shows that she doesn’t care about gun manufacturers.
What about my right to go into a Wal-Mart without getting shot by some trashy nincompoop whose gun he doesn’t need falls from his elastic waistband and discharges?
Actually I don’t really go to Wal-Mart, but still.
Comin’ at you live from Castle Grayskull.
I remember this. LaPierre and gun makers offer their thoughts and prayers for what they refer to as tragic results of irresponsible gun owners. What they don’t say is how none of these many gun fatalities would happen if gun makers had installed personalized safety technology that render the gun inoperable in the hand of a child, thief, gun trafficker, thug who strong arms another and takes his gun, etc.
The blood is on congressmen’s hands too, for it was their NRA-written immunity law that removed the threat of big payout negligence suits that could have motivated the gunmakers to make use of the patents they own to install this safety technology.
…common thread here is Wayne wants everyone buying guns. He wants a gun in every hand that has an opposable thumb and trigger finger- men women children criminal record or not. If he could figure out how a dog’s paw could hold a gun, he’d advocate special dog day sale days too.
