Being engaged in such non-stop service to the public must be exhausting.
And profitable.
Jeff Knox, an NRA member and director of the Firearms Coalition, adding: “It is such a difficult situation because you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. When some horrific act is perpetrated by some deviant, if you immediately come out and say something in defense or support of the right to arms, then you’re heartless and you’re politicizing this tragic event. But at the same time, the other side does not hesitate to jump out.”
And yet I’ve not heard from the NRA that they are proposing mental health checks, that mostly women are dying at the hands of husbands and boyfriends, and that those guys deserve the right to possess firearms until the point of killing a loved one takes that right away. That we must teach all of the children how to handle a firearm safely, never mind if Mommy and Daddy leave guns laying around the house unsecured, toddlers should be taught “no touch”.
How much money does the NRA actually spend on safety programs and training?
