Discussion: Northern Ireland Waits For Verdict In Gerry Adams Arrest

Discussion for article #222309

It sounds like a pretty good case can be made against Mr. Adams, and I will be interested to see the results, but I can’t help but wonder whether there are similar efforts to hold Protestants accountable for their actions during that period, and if not, why not?

Wow. I honestly did not believe that Gerry Adams would ever be arrested. I am amazed at the persistence of activists and the survivors. Best of luck with outcome!

Could someone tell the headline writer that people are not waiting for a “verdict”? What is being awaited is a decision to prosecute. A “verdict” comes at the end of a trial. Sheesh!
