Carrying that originalist crap just a tad far.

Does it ban divorce?

That’s just awesome, North Carolina. Whichever professional organizations haven’t already withdrawn plans to party in Charlotte will now do so. Thereby robbing you of all that income.

Heckuva job, folks!

Okay, I’ll bite. I’ll go along with this cherry-picking bullshit if they allow one amendment: every motherfucking adulterer gets stoned to death. I could settle for anyone working on the Sabbath gets stoned to death, if the adultery bit is too extreme. Of course, the Ten Commandments aren’t really rules, they’re more like guidelines. Oh, and the Apostle Paul was gay. Everybody just loves Paul.

Can’t cherry-pick just one verse, Cletuses (Or is the plural Cleti?)

No but it re-introduces stoning to death of wives who commit adultery, which takes care of most of the difficulties.

This time when we send General Sherman on a march, I say we send him through every county.

Doubt Guv Cooper will sign this into law. I think it’s another GOP purity test, like repealing the ACA over and over while Obama was prez.

They figure since March Madness is over, it’s A-OK.

They’re hoping that Trump gets to pick another Justice by the time this reaches the Supreme Court. They might even be right. And that would be interesting. Horrific but interesting. Would the Court overturn a precedent so recently passed when there is no obvious legal issue with the precedent? And when there is no massive public outcry against it? Specifically, would Roberts, who seems to be very aware of his place in history, put his name on such a ruling?

they really do hate their own state, don’t they? It’s like the GOP told them they were totally getting assigned to a major population center, but instead stuck them in the boonies, forcing them to pander to backward, redneck racists that they can’t stand being around.

No problem with the Establishment Clause here. Nope, none at all.

Idiots.

This is what we get for Gorsuch’s appointment. All of them will now re-try shit that was previously found unconstitutional or illegal…even if it was found to be so last month. They’re just going to keep trying until they get a SCOTUS that reverses all the laws and precedent they don’t like and tells them “yes, as white male evangelical christians, you are, as a matter of law, morally and in all ways superior to all others, particularly gays and browns and women, and you may now institutionalize that superiority into the law in any way you see fit.”

Well the bathroom bill went over so well…

What is about these morons that they fail to understand that the Supreme Court cannot overstep Constitutional bounds, since they define what the Constitutional bounds are? Oh yeah, these North Carolina jokers are morons.

Let’s make it simple: Marriage equality is now the law of the land. Period.
