Discussion for article #228335
McCrory keeps calling this the voter ID law but there are many many more provisions which are targeted at minorities and young people. The more he misleads, the less he leads.
Right. Can’t let “those people” vote. Must stop “them”.
Why doesn’t he just go back to his job as warden at Shawshank?
Imperial Kochtopus Proconsul McCrory is not going to let the rabble disturb his province with their silly “voting”
Gotta serve his Koch masters.
In McCrory’s Bible, it’s easier for a rich man to wiggle through the eye of a needle than for the poor, students and minorities to get to the polls.
And we will continue attempts to repeal the unconstitutional “law” that puts intentional roadblocks in the path of people’s right to vote.
NO LAW should exist that in anyway infringes ANYONE’S RIGHT to vote. Voter fraud, particularly in-person misrepresentation, is essentially nonexistent. If it exists in any numbers at all, it is with mail-in ballots, a fact that isn’t addressed by the proposed changes.
And while we’re at it, where is the outrage from those who purport to “defend our right to vote” over intentionally misleading mailers recently sent out to thousands of NC voters (and their cats) by Americans for Prosperity? Imagine if it had been a liberal leaning group who had done the same. Oh, the hypocrisy…
