Stony Rushing, a Union County commissioner who is among at least three Republicans running for the seat and is Harris’ choice, sounded geared up to portray Harris as a victim of the 9th District probe. Rushing called the board hearing “disgusting” and unfair to Harris.
Ya except for the part where his own kid said he told him not to mess with Dowliss
Larry Shaheen, a Charlotte GOP consultant, said Republicans should focus squarely on McCready and try to link him to liberal Democrats in Congress.
I think it might be somewhat better to be linked this way than to crooked, criminal Rethugs. McCready will probably get lots of support and money to help him defeat the crime family of politics.
Cheat to eke out a win, get found out, get a do-over with a new candidate. That seems fair.
He also said the scrutiny has been unfairly one-sided, citing allegations of ballot irregularities that may have benefited Democrats.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. When you perpetrate ACTUAL VOTER FRAUD to swing an election, you do NOT get to beat the same old drum about “ballot irregularities”. This was a GOP FRAUD ELECTION, full stop.
(Note: This guy was a self-professed lifelong Democrat before switching parties in 2017. I presume someone pissed in his cornflakes and he’s still angry about it.)
“I think the hatchet is going to fall, quite frankly, on both sides of political aisle, and that’s a good thing.”
Can we get some bothsiderism in here before our flagrant cheating catches up with us? Please??
Is Wolf Blitzer not answering the red phone?
I hate this with a burning vengeance, but there’s truth to it. To people who aren’t political junkies, the both-siderism is just built in, and I’m sure that’s at least part of why the R’s believe they can cheat so hard and get away with so much. Republicans lie, Republicans cheat, Republicans steal an election, Republicans lie about stealing an election, voters look at it and say “eh, all those politicians are crooks.”
Republicans complain about voter fraud…but they themselves are the worst offenders.
I wonder whether we’re going to see billboard companies enforcing “civility” on third-party advertisers. Because I’d love to put up a “Don’t Vote for the Cheaters” sign somewhere highly visible.
“We’ve kind of been knocked down, but we want to get back up,” he said. “And that’s the reason the state needs to come in here and investigate and make sure that we get to the bottom of all this voting fraud.”
Election fraud, asshole.
Yikes look at guy that might run against him!
AP article. Jack the Ripper would get the same treatment.
