Per Axios, this is not the first time White House staffers have failed to procure a likely-damaging book before its contents leaked. No one had Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s “UNHINGED” before it dropped either.
We are talking about the White House. I would bet they would be given 20 copies or so by the publisher if they just ask. The publisher would love to give the White House a crack at the books prior to publication for a variety of legal and marketing reasons.
I’m sure Putin and his people (his RUSSIAN people) have had copies for days. They’re probably having a good laugh at how their asset is destroying the credibility of the office of the president.
That the WHITE house didn’t have A copy of the book before COMMENTING IS a TESTAMENT to the greatness OF TRUMP and his PRESIDENCY. HE knew what WAS written BEFORE it was even WRITTEN because FAKE NEWS!!!
This is what I think about whenever people want to impeach Trump for Pence. Pence is dumb, but smart enough to STFU and sign his name without stepping on his own dick every 5 minutes.
Well, in their defense it’s like asking, “Do you want to eat your shit sandwich now, or would you like to save it for later?”
Trump is storming around the White House today like the befuddled Sig Ruman in Lubitch’s “To Be or Not to Be” quizzing his underlings, "Soooo? They call me ‘Concentration Camp Ehrhardt?’ "
I guess they were all so busy doing the kinds of things described accurately in the book, that they didn’t have the capacity, time and ability to realize it was coming out and get copies.
Because the strategy on Wolff’s book worked so well that everyone snickered and whispered about the rumors and innuendos for weeks. So this time they simply blocked the book from coming inside the White House.
Brilliant.
Personally, I wish Woodward and the publisher had waited on the release until late September. The speed at which these revelations explode, disperse and disappear means too many voters will have forgotten the details by November 6th. Unless Mueller follows it up with something . . . special.
