Discussion: Nielsen Doesn't Rule Out Sealing Border To Asylum Seekers: Everything Is 'On The Table'

That would be a first, huh?

It helps explain why the US withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council. Rumor has it that they withdrew just ahead of being kicked off.

Well, as suggested by the chief fascist, what’s the use of having them if you don’t use them? /s

Well, this will be fun to watch.

Chaos just before Election Day.

How many do whistles can they blow?

Pretty direct line between this and what happened yesterday.

I think the reason for that, had to do with Israel’s treatment. It doesn’t matter though, because they are still signatories to those treaties.

I’m hoping not too many more. My ears are already bleeding.

Exactly! This is completely legal -and it sounds like Chris Wallace did a decent job holding her feet to the fire.

Getting yelled at in a restaurant is nothing compared to what these poor, tired and huddled masses have had to endure. They all deserve their day in a legal proceeding.

Seems like help is on the way… see if MI5 can rid us of the violent right wing extremist s that are running this country…

Um, did she spend the summer getting a tan or is she modelling Dear Leader’s daily application of orange?

Off topic, but she looks like the Fox News makeup folks did a job on her. Probably Bill Shine’s handiwork.

Sometimes you still mystify me and this just made me scratch my head.

Why would you assume that? Have they ever approached one of these issues with answers to the problems they are going to create? Remember the Muslim ban?

Why do you find importance in the question of whether they shoot their mouths off or not? They always do. They never have patience and they are never diplomatic.

It’s a point that requires clarification.

I’m not sure that we possess tactical nukes (and didn’t google-brand internet search the matter), but I do think a diligent media would ask if we would use aircraft- or submarine-launched nuclear missiles, or rely on missiles from fixed bases on land.

I’m concerned that the caravan may already have spies monitoring the land-based missile sites, ready to alert the caravan at the first sign of activity at those sites. I think that the mobile platforms would be tougher for the caravan to detect and evade.

Does the DHS Secretary believe she will be successful in COMPLETELY sealing a nearly 3,000-mile border that spans a couple of rivers and a couple of oceans? I have a bridge in Brownsville Texas I’d like to sell her.

BTW, Texan ranchers have been told to expect ā€œarmed civiliansā€ on their property (I.e., militia type folks). I don’t think they’ll be welcome. The ranchers are also not happy that the Wall will cut across their property — and they’re not having the ā€œeminent domainā€ argument.

we stop 3,000 people a year who have travel patterns similar to terrorists attempting to come in the southwest border

vs.

in general, we stop, across the United States, 10 known or suspected terrorists a day from getting into the United States

vs.

On average last year, DHS prevented 10 individuals tied to terror — known or suspect terrorists — each day from traveling or attempting to travel to the United States.

And all backed up by ā€œDHS dataā€ not made available to the public.

The people that export jobs, poison our water supply and air, and are contemptuous of American values are terrorists. They also happen to be our oligarch ruling class.
