Ditka is an appropriate name for this moron (as a Packer fan we would yell during the games; Mike’s a Dick) although Butkus might be more appropriate cause he can kiss mine.

Maybe what this really proves I that it is better to be a Packer fan as Lombardi would have made short work of such an ignorant man.

Why in the world would anyone give this astoundingly ignorant man a soapbox to spew his hate? He was born “Michael Dyczko” (Ukrainian). Yet his family felt it was important to change it to “Ditka”. Fine. But when there is an offensive name that ought to be changed, Mike goes full Teabagger and lazily blames “liberals”.

Every time Joe T put on his uniform, he was just exuding his respect and pride towards Native Americans. Including the game where his leg got broken into a million pieces. I may have to go back and watch that again… is it on YouTube?

Obama IS trying to change the Constitution, he wants an amendment to overturn Citizens United and define campaign finance. Because he’s an asshole and hates America.

Ditka was once called “Iron Mike” for his toughness on the playing field, but that nickname is now more apt for his intractable stupidity.

I challenge anyone who supports the use of this slur of Native Americans to advocate that their favorite team be called a name that is a slur of their ethnicity

And btw, Ditka is not an ‘NFL Great’. He won one Super Bowl (1985). And this is coming from a hardcore Chgo Bears’ fan, too.

I’m also a hardcore Bears fan, and Ditka is the most overrated sports figure in Chicago, easily. The real football identity of the '85 team is from Buddy Ryan, not Ditka.

When younger, before politics became deathsport–
I had a modicum of respect for prominent individuals like
Mike Ditka, Clint Eastwood-- hell, even John McCain (pre-Keating 5).
Now? It’s disturbing to know what really goes on in the minds of these men.

For at least 20 years I had believed that our country was on the cusp of radical societal changes.
But that it would take the passing of my father’s (“Greatest”) generation before we’d have an ability to realize those changes-- which seemed to be dammed-up-- awaiting the floodgates to open.

We’re seeing some of those changes occur–
despite the foot-dragging by the last remnants of my dad’s contemporaries.
And, unfortunately now, the efforts of the worst of their spawn.

My father passed away 9 days before BHO’s second inauguration–
seemingly giving credence to my long-held belief.
And while many good things have come to pass since?
I’m still convinced that Ditka and his ilk need to just-- go.
But I’d prefer it be quietly.

Speaking of fucking horseshit; I suppose Ditka (whose real name is Dyczko btw) would be equally supportive of the name Washington Polacks as being reverential and something to take pride in?
