Fuck the NYTā€¦the post was very appropriate. Just who in the hell is Jeb Bush to yak about poverty? He was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth. The asshole has never had a hard day in his life.

i totally understand the point youā€™re making. but the arrangement you describe doesnā€™t exist so much as it is perceived. i would argue that rational people understand that you can work for a company and still have your own opinions and speak them publicly. donā€™t get me wrong, iā€™m not arguing with you. iā€™m arguing against any employer who would get bent out of shape against somebody ranting on social media.

I doubt Jeb has the energy for that. But Iā€™m sure Mrs. Bush appreciated the sentiment.

Indeed, Who among us has not wanted to Tweet the same message to Jeb!

I worked for a very big corporation for a long time, anyone would recognize its name, and we were told that we were not to do anything at any time even if we were not identified as an employee that would put this company in a bad light on pain of dismissal. Thatā€™s what employers do

Iā€™m impressed at the speed with which the Bush campaign responded, essentially demanding an apology. And getting it from the NYT.

Glad to see Jeb! pushing back on this.

'Cause if thereā€™s anyone Iā€™d look to for expertise and experience on the issue of poverty, it would be a member of the most pampered, clueless political family in the United States.

Or simply have a pseudonym. Especially with Twitter.

Mr. Darcy, You wrote the best thing Iā€™ve read in the NYT in quite awhile!

Iā€™m not sure, though, that they benefit a lot in the long run by showcasing this guyā€™s tweet, because the statements cut to the heart of Bushā€™s bullshit demagoguery very concisely.

I think we all know what itā€™s like to hear a Republican say something that makes us so angry that smoke comes out of our ears in a second. So this is in solidarity with the NYT worker! But next time, shout rather than tweet. It works for me!

Iā€™m almost good enough, Iā€™m rich enough, but doggone it, people donā€™t like meā€¦

I knew it couldnā€™t be Frank Bruni. Heā€™s still waiting for his cute nickname, like W have him.

It appears that the GOP voters are already telling Jeb to go Fuk himself. If Jeb makes it to the general election as the unfortunate Republican nominee the Democrats will sing in unison with Republicans to Jeb! Go Fuk yourself.
