“Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is a partisan hack who has turned a blind eye to the Clinton Foundation for years and has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller said in a statement to BuzzFeed News. “This is nothing more than another left-wing hit job designed to distract from Crooked Hillary Clinton’s disastrous week.”
In short, the Trump Foundation won’t bear looking into, but look over there --> Squirrels!
Translation: we aren’t going to be able to bribe this guy using the Trump Foundation.

[/quote] No, this is someone who smells a rat and wants to root it out…
“Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is a partisan hack who has turned a blind eye to the Clinton Foundation for years and has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller"
Yes, AG Schneiderman could learn a lot from FL AG Pam Bondi, who took a campaign donation from Trump before dropping an investigation against him, and then led cheers of “Lock Her (Clinton) Up!” at the Republican Convention. THAT’s the way an objective civil servant is supposed to behave.
the New York attorney general’s office is looking into specific “troubling transactions” made by the Trump Foundation.
Where there’s smoke there’s a Drumpfster fire.
You’ll note that Miller doesn’t bother to deny any malfeasance on the part of the Trump Foundation. This is purely an exercise in deflection. The Trump Foundation is, like everything else associated with Trump, including his presidential campaign, a scam. Apparently, the function of the Trump Foundation is to make charitable donations to Donald Trump.
Absolutely, 150%.
I spy someone bucking for a nice big campaign contribution from a charity.
But seriously, its about time that The Donald’s business practices are examined seeing as how it’s his main platform for running.
At least Miller didn’t call AG Schneiderman a “Hebe.” That’s a big step up for the Trump campaign.
Everything bad you could say about a person is true about Trump and goes without saying. But given that, it’s a constant background amazement to me that this chiseling shyster crook would be such a narcissistic fool as to invite into his world the scrutiny of a presidential campaign. He’ll be lucky if he isn’t selling every stick of his tacky faux-gilded furniture by the end of this to pay his ever-mounting legal bills, and he’ll be even luckier to stay out of jail. Every damn thing he does turns out, on the most cursory inspection, to be a huge scam. You can’t push your luck that way forever.
So the Make America Great again by following the Law and Order candidate will lead us into Unlawful charity donation expenditures. Oh Donny boy you model yourself on the gangsters of NY and yet it’s the taxes and tax codes you dummy that will get you.
Here’s hoping!
I would love to see everything collapse around him and his god-awful spawn.
I guess it will depend on just how many people he’s managed to buy and how scandalous the dirt he has on them is.
“You better work this out for me or I’ll tell the world about your [fill in the dirt].”
Oh, boy, this is gonna be great!!
In the 1930s David Maurer wrote The Big Con: The Story of the Confidence Man, the book which provided the basis for The Sting.
Dishonest Don deserves a chapter of his own if any of Maurer’s students’ students (he died in 1981, and retired in 1975) update the book. That is something that ought to be done, by the way. The nature of the long con has changed – the grifters now work out of Wall Street.
Form your keyboard to God’s monitor!
Time for a subpoena and a high-visibility raid. I look forward to seeing video of court officers carrying boxes of evidence out of Trump Tower.
Yes!
And yet…
-
The polls are tightening
-
Nate Silver is briefing Republicans
-
Andrea Mitchell is still among us
-
The NYT’s new editor sez…“We will roll with False Equivalency. Deal with it”
-
Lawrence O’Donnell was wrong. He stated, during the Primaries, that Trump only represented a minority of Republican voters. That is not correct. Trump represents enough Americans who will ignore the 2,352 things that would disqualify any other person for President and vote him into office. There are simply too many of them. Trump should–in a non-Bizarro reality–only attract 25% of voters at best**
** His base should be limited to 30%…however, EVEN AMONG THOSE should be people rightly frightened about the actual menace he presents…sort of like saying, “I like hang gliding in the Grand Canyon, but it’s risky”
