Just goes to underline that its not over till its over, in case Republicans thought they could do a “catch and kill” on the case that Mueller is uncovering by firing Mueller.

So is this a sign to 45 that Mueller is playing a bit more hardball?

Like, you can stop my investigation, but a whole bunch of others are waiting in the wings?

Mueller says, ‘we aren’t finished with you yet. Not by a long shot!’

Ok, so it’s not a case brought “against Russians accused of meddling in the 2016 election on social media.” Nor is it “trolling,” as the headline implies. Trolling is being an asshole who violates social etiquette. These individuals are charged with conspiracy against the United States. In the context of an attack on the democratic fabric of country that swung the election towards pro-Russian fascists. Get it right, please, TPM. Ditch the emollient MSM language of 2016 and bring the terminology up to speed.

You can bet that if they’re Democrats, we’ll be hearing about it in a tweet this morning.

It tells me that Mueller is freeing up time to indict some other folks.

This ought to rev Donnie up…the case is not ‘over’ even if you try to gerryrig the proceedings. I DO like this Mueller guy…

“Trolling”?? In what sense? I’ve heard the term used since the early Usenet newsgroup days, and it’s always had two possible meanings:

  1. being intentionally provocative to try to get a rise out of others - e.g.going into the Beatles fan group and saying “Sgt. Pepper sux!” and waiting for the angry reaction

  2. deliberately derailing an online conversation by introducing irrelevant, emotionally charged, inflammatory, etc statements to prevent the prior conversation from continuing.

I don’t see how either of those remotely apply to this article.

This is positive news if you happen to believe in the RULE OF law…too bad the traitors in Congress are working overtime to keep Trump viable regardless of his obvious criminality.

It’s being used in the sense that Putin deployed a paid force of people acting like trolls as part of his efforts to attack the US. Agree that’s it’s not really appropriate for the headline.

I don’t know how this is how it works, but I’d like to see State AG’s brought on. Just to scare the Pardoner in Chief just a little bit.

This, plus Mark Warner’s words, and i think you are absolutely right. More is coming.

Sounds like… There’s a cancer growing on the Presidency… or something.

Good. Keep the pressure on these goobers.

There’s no way anyone could kill this case. If Democrats vote in November, Trump might actually be gone by March. I don’t think he’ll be impeached either, just pushed out.

Mueller’s order is diametrically opposite Trump’s chaos.

This isn’t chess at all, it is order v. disorder.

Agreed. Chalk it up to an off day from the usually sharp reporting of Tierney Sneed.

But note to Josh and all TPM staff: The broader issue regarding the consistent framing reporting of the Russia scandals with the seriousness befitting the existential threat to American democracy they represent, begs to be the subject of a very critical editorial meeting ASAP.
