Discussion: New Poll: Sanders Holds Steady Lead In New Hampshire

Discussion for article #245106

I bet that’s one headline you won’t see on faux news!

I like and sincerely admire Bernie, have for ages, and would willingly vote for him for prez. A “socialist” president or our first female president, for me that’s somewhat of a wash – good causes/landmarks both. I would be happy with either of them in the White House.
But for me this election has always been, and still remains, about the Supreme Court. As we have seen time and again, an out-of-control right-wing Supreme Court will overturn/weaken any legislation or executive action either of the two could take. Try as I might, with the GOP practically handing us this election on a silver platter thanks to what looks like a Trump/Cruz showdown, neither of whom is acceptable to a majority of Americans, I can’t help thinking that it would be political malpractice in the extreme to go with the long shot (Sanders) instead of the sure thing (Hillary).
We all have our favorites, and that’s as it should be. But the important thing is that we stick together. If animosity creeps into our thinking, we risk complete and utter disaster. No bitterness, no sulking, no stay-at-homes, PLEASE.
(And yes, I’m one of those old dogs who still remember McGovern and can’t let it go.)

Fearless prediction: Hillary will win in Iowa. Likely by at least 5 points. Enough to give her a bounce in NH. More of her supporters in NH will come out to vote than Bernie’s. He may win in NH, but the result will be closer than the pundits predict. Net of the caucus/primary will be that Hillary is still ahead, still the strong favorite.
