General Maine voter stupidity plus spoiler independent candidate = LePage win. Gotcha. Thanks for the fail, Maine.

The headline is bit misleading since it is a three way race AGAIN 51.5 of Maine voters don’t want Le Page re-elected, but the independent, Cutler, is once again screwing it up. This is how LePage won last time because it was a three way race.

Question appears to be how many Cutler supporters actually vote for him in the election. (I remember all the way back to 1980, when so many people said they would vote for Anderson if they thought he could win that he would have won, had they voted for him.)

No, this is how he !!!1!!1!!!one!!! last time.

Where is TGOET when we need him?

I’m pulling for LePage. I have plans on competing with China in the manufacture of athletic shoes and apparel. It’s critical my Maine factory has access to the vast, untapped child labor pool LePage promises to deliver.

Is the seafood up there that they all eat contaminated with some mind altering substance? This guy is clearly and totally unstable, and yet the idiots will send him back for four more years. I honestly thought that the people of Maine were a tad bit smarter than the average voter in the state to the West of me, Kansas, but it appears that maybe I was wrong.

outside of a couple pockets, Maine is more or less part of Appalachia (as is NH).

LePig leading is a consequence of the Koch-funded dumbing down of America…

and herding them into MegaCircusChurches

where they can be threatened with eternal damnation for not voting the ‘right’ way. Prai$eLordJe$u$!

This is an example of the potential problems and huge consequences from a third party or three-way race.

So Maine is now forfeited to the right wing extreme MORONNs (More of a Republican, Only Not in Name).

ask al gore, and all the people who died or have been damaged, because ralph nader ran on his ego in 2000. that gave us two unnecessary wars, and a trashed economy, from which we are still recovering.

Funny. Could have sworn that LAST time it was a fluke. And it totally wouldn’t happen again.

I don’t believe the poll. Most folks I know won’t answer the telephone these days - caller ID and all. The calls are out of control in these days leading up to the election. If the subset of folks that answered were elderly, without caller ID ( or not paying attention to it) then it’s likely they would be LePage supporters. On the other hand, the poll might be a good thing if it shocks Cutler supporters into not tossing their vote away. I did that the last election, not this time around.
